Due to the small size of particle size and larger surface area, airborne particulate matter adsorbs a large amount of toxic and harmful substances, which has a serious impact on the atmospheric environment and human health. The polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons?PAHs?have strong carcinogenic teratogenicity.Long-term exposure to the atmospheric environment of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons increases the risk of lung cancer, skin cancer and other malignant tumors. Therefore, the study of PAHs pollution in suspended particulate matter and its sources can provide scientific basis for effective prevention and control of PAHs pollution and the protection of human health and safety. In order to study the pollution characteristics of PAHs in atmospheric particulate matter PM10 and PM2.5 of the printing and dyeing sludge dewatering plant in summer and autumn, the atmospheric particulate matter was collected in two typical printing and dyeing sludge dewatering workshop. The 16 kinds of PAHs in atmospheric particulate matter were analyzed by GC-MS after the pretreatment steps of ultrasonic extraction, chromatography column purification and so on.The quality concentration of indoor and outdoor air particles in two seasons, particle size distribution, concentration level, composition distribution, source and toxicity characteristics of PAHs in particulate matter werect studied.Experimental results indicated that:Seasonal variation of particle mass concentration at CY and HT is autumn more than summer. The average daily concentration of PM10 and PM2.5 in CY-I and CY-O is similar, while in HT-I and HT-O is different. The concentration of HT-I is two to three time of HT-O.The concentration of CY-I is about the secondary limit value of the environmental air quality standard, and HT-I is 23 times of the limit value.Analysis of PM2.5/PM10 ratio showed that PM2.5 is the main air suspended pollutant. The proportion of PM2.5 in PM10 was more than 50%in both indoor and outdoor.I/O ratio analysis showed that the indoor atmospheric particulates in the CY was mainly caused by outdoor sources while HT was mainly caused by indoor sources, this is related to the ventilation of the two sampling points. The ventilation difference between the CY and the HT makes the concentration and composition of PAHs of atmospheric particulates in two sampling point is not the same. The total concentration of PAHs and monomer concentration of PAH in CY were roughly the same and showed a good correlation, while there were a big difference in HT.The concentration of Nap,as the volatile source of petroleum and petroleum products, showed a significant difference in indoor and outdoor. It was indicated that Nap has different emission sources, properly due to the organic solvents in the workshop and the releasers during the operation of the equipment.Seasonal variation of PAHs concentration is autumn more than summer, consisting with the findings of most other scholars. In autumn, the PAHs in particulate matter is 23times of summer, indicating that the prevention and control measures should be strengthened in autumn. The main sources of PAHs of atmospheric particulates in CY are automobile exhaust, petroleum or petroleum products volatilization. The main sources of PAHs of atmospheric particulates in HT are automobile exhaust, diesel exhaust, oil or petroleum products volatilization and fossil fuel combustion. The concentration of TEQ in autumn is higher than that in summer, about 2.43.1 times of summer. In autumn,PAHs in atmospheric particulates are more harmful to human body.
