In the study,the herbal extracts with antibacterial and mildew proof functions and plant functional factors which have the function of improving the functional washability of the modified cotton fiber are used to modify the cotton fiber,and the good antibiosis and mildew resistance and washability are given to cotton fiber,and the properties of the modified cotton fiber with antibiosis and mildew resistance are tested and studied.First of all,the Chinese herbal medicine and plant functional factors with good antibiosis and mildew resistance were selected.LC extracts were selected as antibacterial agent,HL extracts were selected as mildew resistance agent and SD extracts were used as plant functional factors.The amount of the three extracts was made clear through tests.LC extracts are 0.03g/m L,HL extracts are 0.01g/m L and SD extracts are 0.006g/m L.Secondly,in order to improve the accessibility of cotton fiber and to remove the cotton wax and pectin,the effects of two pretreatment methods which are low concentration alkali scouring and tension free concentrated alkali treatment on the basic properties and functionality of the modified cotton fiber were tested and discussed.The results show that low concentration alkali scouring is more conducive to subsequent antibacterial and mildew proof modification.Through the comparison and analysis of the four modified methods,it is determined that the method of modifying the cotton fiber is method three: the cotton fibers has be treated by the pretreatment is immersed in the antibacterial and mildew resistance agent with constant temperature for a period of time,and the bath ratio is 1:30,then when the temperature is cooled to the room temperature the cotton fibers are washed and dried.Thirdly,the influence of the concentration ratio,temperature and time of the modification on the properties of the modified cotton fibers was discussed,and the effect of ultrasonic treatment on the properties of the cotton fibers was studied.The results show that the temperature of the modification is 80℃ and the time is 60 min.And ultrasonic treatment can improve the antibacterial and mildew proof effect of the modified cotton fiber,and the modified time can be reduced to 30 min.Finally,the antibacterial and mildew resistant modified cotton fibers were prepared,and basic properties and functionality were tested.The results show that the crystallinity of the modified cotton fibers was 69.8%,slightly decreasing.IR spectra show that the chemical structure of the modified cotton fibers did not change significantly.The average fineness of the modified cotton fiber increased by 1.6%,the breaking strength decreased by 12.3% and the moisture regain increased by 16.8% compared with the unmodified cotton fibers.The antibacterial rate of the modified cotton fibers to Staphylococcus aureus was 99.81%,the mildew proof grade was 0.After 20 times of washing the antibacterial rate of the unmodified cotton fibers to Staphylococcus aureus was 90.2%,and the mildew proof grade is 1.So the modified cotton fibers have excellent antibacterial and mildew resistance and washing properties. |
