In the NC milling process, the machining allowance changes, generally use a small amount of feed and cutting parameters as the whole process, that does not make full use of the performance of machine tool, which leads to low processing efficiency. If the larger feed and cutting amount,it will produce a greater cutting force in the processing allowance mutation, not only affects the machining accuracy, serious damage to the tool and machine tools.Based on the adaptive control system of high efficiency machining technology, you can find the balance between the processing accuracy and efficiency. In this paper, through the analysis of the composition and delivery of cutting force, put forward a method of indirect detection of cutting force, the spindle current feature extraction of cutting force value, according to the characteristics of the value to indirectly obtain the cutting force. Then, according to the influence factors of cutting force, the mapping relation model between cutting force and feed speed and cutting depth is established.According to the control scheme and control strategy,a constant cutting force control s ystem is designed, which includes two parts: hardware and software. The hardware part is mainly composed of the machine tool,PC machine and so on.The software part is composed of the related function modules, which can realize the functions of signal acquisition, sending instruction, system monitoring and so on.Finally, the application of this system in the NC machine and three sets of cutting experiment,by comparing and analyzing the experimental results we can see that both the machining efficiency or machining accuracy have been improved, validated, constant cutting force control system so that the system has wide application value in NC machining field.
