The rapid development of the printing and dyeing industry has brought enormous economic benefits for China and met people’s needs in all aspects of textiles.It also has caused serious damage to the environment,resulting in a large amount of high salinity,high-alkali,thick-color,and refractory printing and dyeing wastewater,which Greatly reducing the use of water,and it will also seriously affect the survival of aquatic organisms,lead to the destruction of ecosystem stability.The development of new processes or products for dealing with printing and dyeing wastewater is one of the current research hotspot.In the earlier period,the research group selected cucurbituril as an adsorbent,studied the adsorption properties of cucurbituril for anionic dyes in dyeing wastewater and proved its high-efficiency adsorption.This study was based on the previous research and used anionic and cationic dyes as research objects.Comparison the adsorption perf-ormance of cucurbit[n]uril solids and the flocculation process of cucurbit[n]uril saturated solution,for specific studies,selected cucurbit[8]uril,cucurbit[6]uril solids to adsorb anionic dyes acid blue 25 and cationic dyes basic blue 3,in order to study the adsorption process,adsorption behavior and adsorption mechanism.The flocculation process of anionic dye acidic blue 25 and cationic dye basic blue 3 in a saturated solution of cucurbit[8]uril,cucurbit[6]uril was also studied.In this study,dye concentration,pH value,reaction temperature,metal ion,and reaction equilibrium time were used as the influencing factors to investigate the process conditions for the adsorption of acid blue 25 and basic blue 3 by cucurbit[n]uril solids.The results showed that the cucurbit[8]uril,cucurbit[6]uril solids have good adsorption effect for anionic dye acid blue 25 and cationic dyes basic blue 3;According to adsorption behavior related theoretical model analysis results show that cucurbit[8]uril,cucurbit[6]uril adsorb acid blue 25 and basic blue 3 dyes all conform to the Sips adsorption isotherm model and the kinetics are inaccordance with the pseudo-second-order kinetics model.It shows that the adsorption process of cucurbit[8]uril,cucurbit[6]uril for acid blue 3 dyes is a spontaneous exothermic reaction,and the temperature increase is not conducive to the adsorption reaction,while the adsorption of basic blue 3 by cucurbit[n]uril is a spontaneous endothermic reaction,and the process is accompanied by an entropy increase process,and the temperature increase is conducive to the adsorption reaction;As for the flocculation process,the sodium salt concentration,dye concentration and reaction temperature as variables have been choose to study the flocculation process of cucurbit[8]uril,cucurbit[6]uril saturated solution for acid blue 25 and basic blue 3 dyes,respectively.The research showed that cucurbit[8]uril,cucurbit[6]uril both have good flocculation effect for acid blue 25 and basic blue 3;Characterized by TGA and IR confirmed the occurrence of chemical adsorption and host-guest inclusion process.
