Laminated glass is a kind of safety glass with excellent properties,such as weather resistance,heat resistance,high impact strength and so on.It is widely used in buildings and vehicles such as automobiles,ships,aircraft and so on.In real life,it’s very common to see the impact damage of laminated glass.For example,windborne debris impact laminated glass will cause casualties and property losses in the storm area,the car windshield had been hit and rupture in the traffic accident.So the study of laminated glass under concentrated load is of significance for the protection of personal property safety and the reduction of social and economic losses.There is few experimental study on impact resistance of laminated glass under the impact of concentrated load.In this paper,the polyvinyl butyral(PVB)laminated glass of 5 types of specimens were studied by the drop hammer impact tests and air gun impact test.The failure modes of laminated glass under different impact velocity and the impact force-time curves and displacement-time curves under concentrated loads were obtained by the drop hammer impact experiments.The failure modes of laminated glass under different impact velocity and impact energy were compared and analyzed,and the relevant parameters in the impact process were analyzed.The effect of different impact velocity,glass thickness and interlayer thickness on the impact resistance of laminated glass can be analyzed,and some suggestions were provided for the application of laminated glass in engineering.The main contents of this paper include:(1)In this paper,the failure mode of laminated glass under drop hammer impact was studied,and the influence of interlayer thickness and glass thickness on the impact resistance of laminated glass was investigated by combining the impact force-time curves and displacement-time curves.(2)The air gun test platform was set up,the crack propagation process was recorded with high speed camera,and the strain change was recorded by dynamic strain gauge.The solution to the key technical problems was put forward.(3)The air gun impact test of laminated glass was carried out.The failure mode of laminated glass under middle-velocity impact was analyzed,and the spallation phenomenon of laminated glass was studied.The change of failure strain and strain during impact process were measured and analyzed,and the variation rule of strain during impact process were obtained.The crack propagation during impact were recorded by high speed camera,and the propagation velocity of radiation crack were studied.(4)Considering the influence of different impact velocity,interlayer thickness and glass thickness,the impact resistance of laminated glass was analyzed,and some suggestions for the engineering application of laminated glass were put forward. |
