The effective disposal and resource utilization of food waste(FW)is an important subject in the field of solid waste research. In this study, the mode of source separation by residents-composting in situ with complete equipment(CPEM)was proposed.Pilot scale facility covering 132 m2 was constructed and operated to treat FW(6 t/d).In view of the specific components including fat and protein in kitchen waste, this research designed a series of experiments on microbial agents, establishing the appropriate compound ratio of kitchen waste composting, verifying the strengthening effect of k itchen waste compost. The preparation of organic and inorganic fertilizer compound was studied to obtain high value products of FW composting, and the effect of organic-inorganic compound fertilizer(ORCF)on plant and soil was verified through pot experiment. The following conclusions were obtained:(1)Results showed that the mode of source separation-composting in situ with CPEM was feasible to realize the recycling of FW.During 10 days drum composting, the temperature of FW experienced three classic phases including heating phase, thermophilic phase, and cooling phase. The concentration of H2S and NH3 in the effluent were as low as 0.0001 and0.025 mg/m3 after biofiltering treatment. After 20 days subsequent post-maturity,total content of N,P and K in the FW compost was as high as 11.66%.As for economical consideration, the average investment and energy consumption of the CPEM were as low as 117.57¥/t and50.0 kWh/t.(2)Results showed that the proper compound agents ratio for FW composting, was that m(Aspergillus oryzae):m(Bacillus licheniformis):m(Candida lipolytica):m(Trichoderma viride):m(Azotobacter chroococcum)=1.5:1:1.2:2:1.Meanwhile when the inoculation amount was 6‰,the agents had a stronger removal effect of the specific component in kitchen waste, with which the fat removal was up to 76.2%.There was also a strong nitrogen fixation effect on nitrogen during the process of composting whereby the lowest nitrogen loss rate could be as low as 11.8%.(3)The production and quality of pakchoi(Brassica chinensis L.)were improved by the ORCF of FW.Compared with the blank, inorganic fertilizer,FW compost(organic fertilizer),formula 1,formula 2,formula 3 treatments could increase pakchoi plant height and plant weight, and the effect of formula 3 was better than that of inorganic fertilizer and organic fertilizer, the plant weight and height growth rate of formula 3 were 126.50%a nd 80.39%,respectively.Compared with the inorganic fertilizer treatment, organic fertilizer and ORCF could improve the content of vC and soluble sugar in pakchoi and reduce the content of nitrate and nitrite in pakchoi, which indicated that the ORCF could improve the quality of pakchoi.(4)The O RCF of FW could improve the soil environmental quality in a certain extent. After the planting of pakchoi, the content of organic matter in the soil was improved.Compared with the original soil, the organic fertilizer wass superior to the compound fertilizer and inorganic fertilizer, which was 18.71%,13.69%,13.79%,15.76%and 8.07%,respectively.ORCF could significantly improve fertilizer utilization rate, compared with inorganic fertilizer, formula 1,formula 2 and formula 3,the fertilizer utilization increased by 75.91%,55.88%and 124.55%respectively,ORCF could improve the soil nutrient, and improved the content of available phosphorus and fertility in soil.
