The proposal of the One Belt One Road Initiative has promoted the exchange between China and other countries in the world, and China's high-speed railway has developed rapidly. For the construction of cross-border and even transcontinental railways, due to great differences in environment, landforms, temperature and humidity, rails need to withstand multiple loads and cause damage. This will increase the demand for rails' overall performance. As a prerequisite for railway traffic, railway tracks must have sufficient toughness, strength and wear-resistance to ensure the efficiency and safety of the railway transportation process. The length of their service life and the quality of the railway track will directly affect the final service effect. This article uses a highly energy-efficient electromagnetic induction heating method to locally heat the rail, taking into account that the pulse current acts on the high temperature metal can significantly refine the characteristics of the metal structure,in the electromagnetic induction heating of the rail and the introduction of pulse current for auxiliary treatment,The pulse current is concentrated on the upper end surface and both sides of the rail that are more heavily worn to improve the microstructure of the rail. The main research contents of this article include:First of all,ANSYS finite element software was used to simulate the local heating of the rail's induction heating process. The effects of current density, induction heating frequency, and the air gap between the rail and cap coil on the induction heating of the rail were analyzed in detail. The induction heating effect is analyzed and the calculation results are verified experimentally.Secondly,A hat-shaped induction coil with a semi-enveloping structure was designed and manufactured, and local induction heating was performed on the upper end surface and both side surfaces of the rail to obtain a uniform temperature field and achieve the heat treatment requirements in the actual production process of the rail.Thirdly,With reference to the characteristics of induction heating and pulsed currents,a simulation calculation scheme was developed for rail induction heating and pulse currentassisted loading, and a multi-field coupled finite element model of pulsed current assisted rail electromagnetic heating process was established to achieve induction heating of rails. At the same time, the temperature field and electromagnetic field of the rail after applying the pulse current under different parameters were compared and analyzed, and the distribution rule of the current at the rail head was obtained.Lastly,The temperature uniformity of rail heads before and after applying pulse current in rail induction heating process was comparatively analyzed. The improvement of rail temperature uniformity was studied by pulse current, and different rail current parameters(pulse width, pulse frequency and pulse voltage)were used to inductively heat the rails. The influence of the process electromagnetic field.
