With the wide application of diamond tools in the exploitation of rock, geological exploration and processing of hard and brittle materials, higher requirements for the performance of diamond tools have been put forward, which is required to have better processing performance and long service life. And the diamond circular saw blade in diamond tools has a dominant position in the rock cutting. In the process of machining marble with diamond circular saw blade, the erosion effect of rock powder on the cutter head matrix is the main reason for the wear of diamond circular saw blade.Because the evaluation methods of tool wear at home and abroad are mainly measured by experiments at present and their wear properties are evaluated according to their machining efficiency, quality and wear conditions. But it takes time and effort to test the wear of the tool through an experimental method, moreover, the dynamic process of the change of wear during the processing of a tool that can not be observed in real time.It is difficult to direct the design of matrix materials and the general metal base tools are pre Pared by powder sintering. The method of finite element method is difficult to deal with the behavior of non-continuous materials and difficult to effectively represent the material wear and removal phenomenon. On the other hand, the general metal based tools are prepared by powder sintering. The rock has obvious brittleness. The finite element numerical simulation method is usually difficult to deal with the discontinuities such as fracture, wear and removal. In this paper, the discrete element method is used to establish the BPM(Bonded-Particle Model)model of the interface between the carbody, marble and diamond grain and matrix. The parameters of the model are calibrated by numerical experiments, and the model parameters are calibrated by indentation test.Based on the above discrete element model, periodic boundary conditions are introduced to simulate the experimental process of tool head carcass pin wear and the wear test process of saw blade in various process conditions.Analysis of the cutter head and the friction and wear of the marble matrix dynamic process, including the crack initiation and propagation, the cutter head body particles change the number of trends, the cutter head and rock matrix and marble powder layer formed between the three body wear interface changes, diamond exposure and shedding process etc..The reliability of the discrete element simulation results is verified by experiments, and it is proved that the application of discrete element simulation tool wear has some advantages. The results of this paper provide a new idea for the deep study of the wear of diamond tools, and then the design of the material performance of the cutter head.
