This paper studies that the groundwater pollution is caused by a tailing pond in Fushun.we can collect the local relevant data,and understand that the local hydrogeological environment and other related information,then test and evaluate the water samples what are collected from monitoring wells;And the health risk level of children and adults are evaluated for heavy metals in the groundwater of tailings reservoir.Finally,the model of groundwater pollutant solute transport in the study area is established on the basis of hydrogeological conditions,and then the protective measures are put forward.The concrete research results are as follows:(1)Heavy metal contamination of surface water and soil in a copper mine tailings reservoir area in Fushun City is mainly related to mining behavior,in which cadmium and zinc are the main heavy metals in surface water.The evaluation result shows that the order of heavy metal pollution in each area is in descending order:The pollution degree in the tailings area > the pollution level in the dressing area > the pollution degree in the mining area > the pollution level in the surrounding farmland area.(2)By evaluating the groundwater quality of five monitoring wells,the result shows that the groundwater in the concentrating area has been seriously polluted and the water quality can not be drinkable.The two civilian drinking wells in downstream villages are not polluted by heavy metals,but some basic indicators showed light pollution,such as sulfate.(3)According to the health risk assessment,we can know that the health risk of groundwater in tailings reservoir area and its surrounding area mainly comes from chemical carcinogen Cr,which should be the priority pollutant in groundwater in the mining area.The data shows that the leachate of heavy metal infiltrates into groundwater over time,which destroys groundwater safety and brings great potential safety hazards to drinking water in downstream villages.(4)The simulation of groundwater solute transport by GMS shows that the main pollutants in the leachate of tailings reservoir diffuse elliptically from north to south along the direction of groundwater flow.Two years later,the pollutants will begin to pollute the northern part of the village.The simulation results show that the concentration and pollution range of pollutants are gradually expanding and gradually infiltrating.The entering deep aquifer of pollutants will have a greater impact on groundwater.
