The metal extrusion press is an important equipment of modern manufacturing industry,it's the main equipment be used to producing rod tube and large thin wall sheet of width.With the improvement of China's industrial level,our extrusion technology have come up to the advanced world level.However,there is a great gap in appearance modeling design of the metal extrusion press.Because,our productions looking have same shape,single color and the man-machine relationship is indifference,so it makes domestic extrusion presses lost international competitiveness.This article mainly from the perspective of industrial design,firstly,analyze the shape,color and man-machine engineering of the domestic extrusion press,summarized out the design principles of the extrusion presses appearance modeling which was based on the theory of shape,color and man-machine engineering.By analyze the problems existing in the appearance,color and control panel of the domestic extrusion press,put forward the improvement design scheme and obtained the model instances by using 3D modeling software.Finally,evaluate the appearance modeling of the metal extrusion press.the comprehensive evaluation results show that the appearance modeling is "excellent",the respondents have higher evaluations to the appearance,color,control panel and integrity of the extrusion press.The improved appearance of the extrusion is more concise,the operation of the control panel is easier,and the overall pleasantness of the machine is improved.Finally,structure optimization design for flat container.Flat container have high manufacturing costs,are difficult to process and maintain,and have a poor working environment and are easily broken at dangerous interfaces.using Workbench to sim ulated the maximum equivalent stress and strain under different relative interference magnitude and different outer wall thickness.Obtained,the best relative interference magnitude is 2.50‰~2.75‰ of 5MN flat container,under the same conditions,the wo rking stress can be decreased by7.05% when inner diameter of outer wall is 232 m m.
