During the SAGD operations,the IBS limits the equilibrium development of the steam chamber,impacting the SAGD performance effect and economic benefits.In the real operation of SAGD process,the impacts must be taken a full consideration and effective methods to break barriers must be researched to improve the SAGD oil production rate.In this thesis,impacts of inter-bedded barriers,with factors of distribution and geometry,on the SAGD performance were systematically studied by numerical simulations based on reservoir parameters in an extra heavy oil field in China.Also,it is found that the difference of IBS distribution will cause the heat transfer and development of steam chamber are different.On this basis,combined with the mechanics test of the IBS,conducting a sensitivity analysis of the IBS mechanics parameters by numerical simulation considering rock mechanics.Finally,combined with the actual operation feasibility,the paper puts forward a technical measures of IBS breaking.And the results can provide a new operation method,which use uplift to destroy the well cementation,low porosity and low permeability IBS above the injection-production well.
