Evaluation On Environmental Performance And Analysis On Its Influential Factors Of Cities In China

The city is a product of the elements of space aggregation and the core area of regional economic development.Population,economic development,resource consumption,waste emissions are concentrated in this area.With the urbanization gradually accelerating,urbanization has become a great engine of social and economic growth in China after industrialization.In the past,the model of urban development was high investment,high consumption and high emission.The contradiction between high-speed urbanization and environmental protection is becoming more and more prominent.The problem of urban environmental pollution control has become the focus of the whole society.The accurate evaluation of urban environmental performance is the basic work of formulating and implementing the policy of urban environmental problems.Urban environmental performance evaluation can not only directly reflect the environmental conditions of different cities in China,but also provide a theoretical basis for explaining the regional differences between cities in China.This paper selects the performance evaluation model based on the combination of nonparametric method and Malmquist index.This paper collects the panel data of 105 city level cities from 2006 to 2013.Based on the selection criteria of environmental performance evaluation indicators at home and abroad,we first selected carbon dioxide,sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides as undesirable outputs to conduct urban environmental performance assessment in China.This paper first introduces the environmental production technology and the assumptions that should satisfy in the study of environmental performance evaluation.Further analysis and discussion on the nature of the model itself indicate that the further calculation of urban environmental performance can reflect the environmental performance trend of the urban area or economic region.After that,the environmental performance index of 105 cities during the period of 2006-2013 years was calculated.Through descriptive statistical analysis,regional difference analysis and overall change trend analysis,the environmental performance of urban environmental performance in China during the 2006-2013 year period was assess respectively.Finally,the impact of different factors on environmental performance was assess by selecting the influencing factors of urban environmental performance.Through the above work,this paper expects to reflect the environmental performance of the city and the region during the 2006-2013 year period.It can provide theoretical guidance and basis for the formulation and application of environmental policy,and play a better role in exploring the model of environmental performance evaluation.
