The Geosteering Evaluation Method Study Of Horizontal Wells In Fuling Area’s Shale Gas

Geosteering technology can guide horizontal well drilling in target zone effectively,and play an important role in shale gas development.The cost of geosteering instruments and equipments is high at home and abroad,and there is still a lot of pressure on shale gas development.Therefore,the geosteering technology methods study is significant for guiding horizontal well drilling in target formation.Fuling area is the demonstration area of shale gas development.This article evaluates the geological features of shale formation in Fuling area firstly,then start the stratigraphic division according to guide wells and adjacent wells’ logging data.Using horizontal well three-dimensional geosteering and analysis system to build three-dimensional geological structure model and three-dimensional logging attribute model.Combining the three-dimensional geological structure model and LWD curves to guide horizontal wells drilling through shale formation.Meanwhile,LWD curves can correct the three-dimensional geological structure model.The result is good for using this geosteering evaluation method to evaluate three to five horizontal wells in Fuling area.
