In many oil fields,sand production has been plagued by the normal production of oil fields.Some wells have a large amount of sand production,resulting in frequent workover and increased production costs.In offshore oil fields,sand production may lead to oil scrapping and even causing environmental pollution.And due to sand erosion erosion caused by sand control failure,is an important reason leading to oil well sand.A common understanding of the erosion failure caused by screen is the occurrence of erosion and failure caused by screen plugging,but the mechanism of erosion failure is not clearly stated.In this paper,indoor full-size sand control erosion simulation experimental device was used to experiment,the experimental conditions can simulate the real underground environment.Through a large number of indoor simulation erosion test,the critical mass loss percentage of the screen is 0.45%,and the sieve flow channel is blocked by the sand,causing the screen to erode and localize.The microstructures of the sieve before and after the experiment were observed by means of an electron microscope scanning device.It was found that the lower part of the screen overcurrent unit was the area where the erosion occurred first.Screen erosion is the result of sand grain erosion from the front and back at the same time;Part of the sand in the impact to the discharge network or support the network after the rebound,resulting in the upper and lower adjacent two over-current unit between the area of serious erosion damage;the destruction of the central wire is leading to the upper wire and axial metal silk erosion of the main reasons;sand on the wire cutting,the impact of the metal surface after the formation of metal lip,metal lip in the sand impact from the deformation of the metal surface,metal lips from the sand after the impact will continue to generate the new metal lip,screen wire in the continuous impact by sand,with the formation and fall of the lip and erosion and erosion.Using the real and accurate experimental data obtained by sand erosion test,a kind of sand erosion prediction method is obtained.This paper will reveal the mechanism of erosion failure of sand control and erosion prediction method,which has certain guiding significance for oil field sand control.
