When fuel is burned in a glass furnace at high temperatures,it emits considerable amount of NOx which is a harmful environmental pollutant.Glass furnace faces serious denitration challenges.The selective catalytic reduction?SCR?of NOx by NH3is widely used to decrease NOx in stationary factory.However,flue gas in glass furnace which is high gas temperature,high concentration NOx and high alkali content has its own characteristics.SCR technology research in glass furnace is hardly reported and related studies are lacking.In this study,V2O5-WO3/TiO2 catalysts were prepared for SCR of NOx with NH3.The DeNOx efficiency was evaluated by corresponding activity evaluation device.The catalysts were characterized by X-ray diffraction,N2 adsorption-desorption,X-ray Photoelectron spectrometer?XPS?,Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy?FT-IR?and Temperature Programmed Desorption of ammonia?NH3-TPD?.The effect of the quantity of V2O5?properties of TiO2 carrier and the calcination temperature of catalyst and the effect of NH3/NO ratio,O2 concentration and space velocity were investigated to determine their influence on DeNOx efficiency.The effect of different sodium salts on catalytic activity of V2O5-WO3/TiO2 over NH3-SCR reaction was investigated in order to observe its selective catalytic reduction and alkali resistance.The velocity distribution and pressure drop of three different hole structure of honeycomb catalyst were simulated using CFD software in order to explore suitable catalyst shapes for fuel gas from glass furnace.The main results are as follows.?1?Higher catalytic efficiency was obtained when V2O5 loading was 4%,using Nanoscale TiO2 as carrier and calcining temperature was 500?.By this time,it produced high specific surface area of the catalyst,small pore diameter and TiO2presents completely as anatase crystal?2?A higher DeNOx efficiency exist when space velocity is 30000 h-11 and NH3/NO ratio is 1.NO conversion was hardly affected by O2 concentration?up to3%?at the real condition of fuel gas in glass furnace.?3?The addition of sodium lowered specific surface areas,allowed the decrease of the number of V5+=O and V-OH acidic sites and resulted in a reduction of chemical adsorption oxygen on the surface,and therefore,leading to a lower catalytic activity and a narrower reaction temperature window.?4?It is better to use round hole structure catalyst when ash content are high in fuel gas,and it is situable to choose Square and triangle hole structure catalyst when it has high speed fuel gas and great space velocity.
