As an high-precision and high-efficiency machining tool,double disk grinder has some prominent merits,such as small clamping deformation,less processing errors,uniform grinding thermal stress and so on.The grinder can be used to realized on double sides grinding of piston rings,bearings,valves which have high requirement for surface quality.It has been widely applied in the field of automotive,bearings and other industries.Even though domestic equipments are developing rapidly,advanced CNC double disk grinding equipments are still scarce.So,it's a matter of great urgency to develop high-precision and CNC double disk grinders.Therefore,this paper made an deeply and systematically investigation of double disk grinder in terms of theory,machine construction,lubrication systems design,etc.The main contents of this article are flowing:(1)Grinding mechanism,grinding method,grinding process of the double disk grinding was analyzed.Baed on partition grinding method,using the equation of equivalent grinding chip thickness and the feeding rate curve of upper gringding wheel,the motion equation of carrying workpiece disk was established.With linear fitting method,the motion equation was simplified,and the influence of the simplified model was analyzed.Combined with the nominal feed amout and grinding angle of upper grinding wheel?the geometrical relationship of grinding wheel and dresser,the modle of profile of topography of the grinding wheel ? the modle of wear compensation of the grinding wheel and the modle of material removal were deduced.(2)The layout of the overall structure?the overall layout of the critical moving part and the main components of the grinder were introduced and analyzed.For the position problem of lower wheel,the lower wheel positioning device was invented.In order to avoid the impact of the dresser and the upper?lower wheel,the mechanical anti-collision device was presented.With active measurement devices,the function of on-line measurement was realized.(3)In order to fulfill the requirement of the design,two wheel spindle assembly structures were proposed,then the wheel spindle with sleeve movable part was chosen.Against wheel spindle speeding problem,spindle support component,spindle structure and micro feeding device were designed.Then the static and dynamic performance of spindle was analyzed.In order to deal with irregular topography of wheel work surface for oscillating dressing,two kinds of design schemes were proposed.The structure of the integrated linear dressing device was determined from the schemes.Then a complete three-dimensional structural model was established later.With the help of ANSYS software,the stiffness of integrated linear dressing device was got.(4)According to the rotation speed?load of critical kinematic pair of the grinder,the lubrication way were defined by the requirement of kinematic pair.By calculation the consumption of lubricant for lubrication points,the lubrication pump,dispenser size was chossen,and then the oil lubrication system?the vol?me of oil lubrication system and progressive grease lubrication system were designed.The work of this paper provides theoretical basis and structure reference for the design and development of vertical double disk grinders.It also has some reference value for the selection of grinding method,the determination of process,structural optimization,lubrication design and so on.At last,the grinding case of washers proves the accuracy of grinder meetting the requirements of design.
