With the development of the social and the severe energy consumption,energy conservation has become an important issue.In 2009,China building's energy consumption accounted for 30%of national energy consumption,and showed an increasing trend year by year.Building industry consumed a lot of resources,so thermal insulation material for external wall is becoming more and more important.Currently,the materials used for building thermal insulation material for external wall mainly include organic materials(such as PU,XPS and EPS),rock wool,foam cement and other inorganic insulation materials.However,PU and PS are highly flammable which is extremely harmful to personal safety,and they may lead to serious damage.Inorganic insulation materials are very easy to breed bacteria,and its poor weatherability make it worse insulation properties after alternating hot and cold.Phenolic foam showed excellent properties including good flame retardant properties,good insulation properties,low shrinkage propotion,sound-insulated noise reduction,which is beneficial for its broad prospects development.The type of the phenolic foam on the market is very wide,but most of them have some disadvantages such as brittleness,low intensity,high thermal conductivity and high cost.In view of the shortcomings of the phenolic foam,this paper improve the property of the phenolic foam and put forward the issue that the research and preparation of novel toughened reinforced phenolic foam.Our research prepared the phenolic foam which had better toughened performance by means of adding composite plasticizer based on the original recipe.Through the adding of red mud,the pullout strength,compressive strength and oxygen index of the phenolic foam all get improved as well as the lower costs.Then we use the coupling agent A1160 functional iron red mud,so that the modified iron red mud and phenolic foam can combine more closely and show better performance.We use the curing agent compounded of the phosphoric acid,p-toluene sulfonic acid and phenol sulfonic acid so as to improve the properties of phenolic foam.By using surfactants mixed by Twain 80,silicone oil SI-204 and the OP-10,the opening rate of phenolic foam get greatly reduced as wekll as the coefficient of thermal conductivity.This experiment found that when the addition amount of composite toughening agent is 2%of phenol quality,the phenolic resin had better toughness,compression strength and drawing strength increased by 115.3%and 18.8%compared with the original preparation of phenolic foam phenolic resin respectively.This research also found that when the density of phenolic foam is 60 kg/m3,the best addition amount of iron red mud is 3%of the mass of phenolic resin.Oxygen index,drawing strength,compression strength,impact strength and thermal eonductivity respectively increased by 26.0%,22.1%,14.2%,22.1%and 6.1%compared with ordinary phenolic foam.Using A1160 silane coupling agent functional iron red mud,research found that when the density of phenolic foam is 60 kg/m3,A1160 the best addition amount of 2%,functionalization of iron red mud had the best addition amount of 4%.The oxygen index,drawing strength,compression strength,impact strength and thermal conductivity respectively increased by 22.6%,89.5%,27.6%,89.5%and 9.8%compared with ordinary phenolic foam.Selecting of phosphoric acid,p-toluene sulfonic acid,phenol sulfonic acid,glycerin and water distribution,this research found that when the density of phenolic foam is 60 kg/m3 and the mass ratio of phosphorie acid,P-toluene sulfonic acid,Phenol sulfonic acid,glycerin and water quality is 25:20:25:5:25 and the mass of phenolic resin for the amount of curing agent,phenolic foam show the best properties.The oxygen index,drawing strength,compression strength,impact strength and thermal conductivity respectively increased by 22.6%,89.5%,44.9%,142.7%and-20.2%compared with ordinary phenolic foam.Choosing polysorbate80,water-soluble silicone oil SI-204 and OP-10 to compound,when the density of phenolic foam is about 60 kg/m3,the surfactant addition amount was 4%,polysorbate80,SI-204 and OP-10 quality ratio is 2:1:1,various properties of phenolic foam are best.The oxygen index,drawing strength,compression strength,impact strength and thermal conductivity respectively increased by 27.2%,115.1%,53.6%,115.1%and-27.7%compared with ordinary phenolic foam.With 2%coupling agent to process iron red mud to join with phenolic resin,no.13 surfactant,no.13 firming agent and foaming agent,The drawing strength,compression strength,impact strength,thermal conductivity and oxygen index respectively increased by 131.6%,73.4%,220.4%,-29.2%and 31.0%compared with ordinary phenolic foam.
