This paper discussed the influence of preparation condition and process parameters to the performance of magnesium-based sorbents which are prepared by wet mixing method, and discussed the CO2&H2S co-adsorption performance of the sorbents. The main conclusion is as follows:(1)The suitable preparation condition is:P1 as precursor and B1 as binder,P1:S1=38:52,with S1 concentration of 1.65%,and on this condition the prepared magnesium-based sorbent has the CO2 breakthrough capacity of 3.60mmol/g,and mechanical strength of 46N/cm.(2)The addition of sodium salt A1 substantially improved the performance of the sorbent. On the condition of(P1+A1):S1=38:52,the prepared sorbent P1B1N10 improved its CO2 breakthrough capacity to 4.93mmol/g,and the mechanical strength to 52N/cm respectively. The main cause of the improvement of A1 to the adsorption performance is that A1 participated in the carbonation of the sorbent to form Na2Mg(CO3)2.(3)Magnesium-based sorbnets are suitable for CO2 capture in moderate temperature and elevated pressure. Its suitable process condition is:hydration by steam with concentration of 26.2%,300?,2MPa and Gas Hourly Space Velocity of 600 h-1.(4)The suitable regeneration temperature of adsorbent P1B1N10 is 450?,but its CO2 cyclic adsorption performance is bad, with 54%decay of CO2 breakthrough capacity after 9 cycles. The adsorbent P1B1 could be totally regenerated under 400? and 2MPa,and has relatively good CO2 cyclic adsorption performance, with only 5.5%decay of CO2 breakthrough capacity after 13 cycles.(5)Both sorbents P,B1 and P1B1N10 has good CO2&H2S co-adsorption performance. The breakthrough capacity for CO2 and H2S of the sorbent P1B1 is 3.22mmol/g and 0.065mmol/g respectively, and its CO2 breakthrough capacity reduced about 12.4%after 11 cycles. The H2S breakthrough capacity kepted steady overall in the whole cycle test.
