In recent years, the vehicle exhaust pollution is becoming more and more serious because of using the fuel oil containing the sulfur, and brings a great harm to human health, therefore, the production of ultra low sulfur fuel oil is the general trend of the global refining industry. The traditional hydrodesulfurization is demanding in such area as technology, equipment, and will cause loss of octane number in the desulfurization process to reduce fuel combustion performance, and thus looking for a new fuel desulfurization technology become an inevitable question. At present more and more attention is paid to the non-hydrodesulfurization technology by researchers. The adsorption desulfurization technology is a environmentally friendly fuel desulfurization method due to its mild operating conditions, simple equipment, low cost, less pollution to the environment. The oxidation desulfurization technology have a good removal effect to thiophene sulfide, and can reach the purpose of deep desulfurization. Both have good prospects in green fuel desulfurization process.(1)In this paper, bamboo powder as raw material,ZnCl2 as activators,by the catalytic heat carbonization method,a series of porous bamboo char were prepared, then the bamboo char were modified with 65%HNO3 as the oxidant. The bamboo char were characterized by N2-adsorption,XRD,Raman,Boehm titration and element analysis. The results indicate that increasing the amount of ZnCl2 and carbonization temperature, the surface area and degree of graphitization of bamboo char are increased, and the surface area reachs more than 1000 m/g,but the high-temperature carbonization is not beneficial to the increasing surface acidic groups;the bamboo char was modified by 65%HN03,and the surface acidic groups will increase.(2)Studies on the adsorption removal of dibenzothiophene in the model fuel by bamboo char.It was discussed about the influence factors of adsorption desulfurization of bamboo char, such as the amount of ZnCl2,carbonization temperature, reaction time, oxidative modification, the amount of carbon materials and so on.The results showed that the main reason is specific surface area, surface acidic groups and degree of graphitization to the adsorption desulfurization performance of bamboo char.Increasing the amount of ZnCl2 and carbonization temperature, the desulfurization rate of adsorption will be increasing and reach to 92%;the bamboo char be modified by 65%HN03,the desulfurization rate reach to 96%;and the regeneration rate can reach 94%,indicating that the bamboo char has good regeneration properties.Compared to commercially available activated carbon, its the adsorption desulfurization performance is better and more advantages in the aspect of fuel oil adsorption desulfurization.(3)Studies on the catalytic oxidation removal of dibenzothiophene in the model fuel by bamboo char.It was discussed about the influence factors of adsorption desulfurization of bamboo char, such as carbonization temperature, the amount of formic acid, hydrogen peroxide, reaction temperature and time and other factors. The results showed that when the dosage of ZnCl2 is 50%,carbonization temperature is 450?,formic acid is 0.5mL,hydrogen peroxide is 6mL,reaction temperature was 25C,and reaction time is 4h,its catalytic oxidative desulfurization rate reached 98%.From the above results it can be concluded that the resulting porous bamboo char material has a certain application prospect in the green fuel desulfurization technology.
