Currently,the main mode of the industry development in China is transformation and upgrading and the numerical control(NC)technology is the vital method to support our industry to transform and upgrade.This project is based on the cooperation between colleges and enterprises,aimed at the defects of the crystal manufacturing equipments,namely the low efficiency of production,the high intensity of operators and the energy waste.Combined with the NC machines’ developing trend of fast speed,high efficiency,environmental protection and compounding,the paper researches on the efficient multi-faceted crystal grinding and polishing machine of four station combination type to improve the processing quality of the multi-faceted crystal grinding and polishing,the automation degree and the production efficiency.The thesis mainly focuses of the following research:(1)The crystal grinding and polishing machine of four station combination type with the clamping work piece is designed on the basis of the research about the present situation of crystal grinding and polishing equipment development at home and abroad and the analysis of the defects in the existing crystal processing equipments.Based on the characters of multi-faceted crystal processing craftsmanship and the needs of enterprises,the machine uses the CREO software to 3D model the crystal NC grinding and polishing machine and do the corresponding calculation and selection to the NC servo actuator.(2)Based on the design concept of open CNC system and the requirements of crystal grinding and polishing machine,the machine is designed to be controlled by“PLC+HMI(human computer interface)”model in accordance with numerical control system and to complete the design of the machine tool’s main circuit and control interface configuration.(3)In accordance with the requirements of crystal grinding and polishing craftsmanship,by researching the control system software of the grinding and polishing machine,within the Windows system,HMI is designed with the DOP software,which includes the HMI interface general settings,control command settings,communication settings,switch-control settings,processing module settings and machine parameters module settings.On the foundation of improving crystal processing craftsmanship,the thesis is to complete the writing of the PLC program,realize the man-machine friendly interaction and guarantee the grinding and polishing machine under reliable and stable operation.The crystal NC grinding and polishing machine researched and developed in the project is the combination of grinding and polishing,an automatic processing equipment,which realizes the processing of multi-faceted crystal of different shape and precision,plays an important role in improving the automation degree,the crystal production efficiency and the products quality,decreases the energy waste,and enhances the enterprise core competitiveness.The project also has some reference values to other special NC equipments research and development.
