Iron series products are widely used in chemical industry,light industry,aviation,machinery manufacturing,electronic,agriculture,etc.Iron resources mainly have two channels:iron ore and iron-containing wastes.In recent years,iron ore consumption has been increased year by year because of the rising of steel production.Therefore,other ferrous resources have been become an important resource for the iron and steel production.In this work,our aim is focus on the reuse of the water quenching copper slag and titanium white waste acid.(1)First,copper slag was reduced to metal iron with anthracite as reductive agent.On the basis of thermodynamic analysis of the reduction processes,the effects of calcination temperature,calcination time,C/Fe mole ratio and basicity on the iron metallization ratio were investigated by means of orthogonal and single-factor experiments.The results show that the iron metallization ratio first increases and then keeps eonstant,when the inerease of the ealcination temperature,calcination time,C/Fe mole ratio and basicity.The order of various factors affecting the metallization rate of iron:calcination temperature>calcination time>C/Fe mole ratio>basicity.The optimal conditions of reducing iron from the copper slag as follows:calcination temperature 110?,calcination time 90min,C/Fe mole ratio 1.4 and basicity 1.6.The iron metallization ratio can be up to 91.84%at the optimum condition.(2)Secondly,iron black was prepared from the titanium white waste acid by the precipitation-oxidation technology using NH4HCO3 as precipitant and air as oxidant.The effects of the processes parameters on the content of Fe3O4 in synthetic product were investigated by single factor experiment and response surface methodology.The content of Fe3O4 in synthetic product first increases and then keeps constant with the increase of the reaction time,reaction temperature,mole ratio of NHHCO3 and FeSO4(nN/Fe)and air flow rate.The effects of initial FeSO4 concentration and initial NH4HCO3 concentration are not significant.The interactions between reaction time and reaction temperature,reaction time and air flow rate are significant.The optimal conditions for the preparation of iron black from the titanium white waste acid are as follows:reaction temperature 88.0oC,reaction time 6.3h nN/Fe 2.5:1,air flow rate 300ml/min,initial FeSO4 concentration 1.0mol/L and initial NH4HCO3 concentration 2.4mol/L.The content of Fe3O4 in synthetic product can be up to 95.11%,and the indicators basically achieve standard of first-grade product for the iron oxide black pigment industry.
