Military textiles play a very important role in the military.They are necessary military equipment items and also important basis for protecting military from environment.Therefore,they also impose higher requirements on the military equipment textiles and their diversified functions.However,when fabrics are functionally finished,their strength losses are relatively large.At the same time,due to the influence of various finishing agents and auxiliaries,the finishing process also has a certain impact on product performance.Therefore,to solve the compatibility of these finishing agents and auxiliaries and the synergy of various functions issue is the key to multi-functional finishing.Therefore,this paper aims at designing and researching a suitable multi-functional finishing process for a new type of fabric,also called the 500 D new high-strength polyester air-changing Oxford cloth.This paper has studied the relationship of multi-functional finishing and its influence on fabric’s performance,solved the synergy among of several functional finishing.After finishing,this fabric can obtain a series of properties,such as higher strength,good flame retardant performance,water repellent performance,water pressure resistance performance and cold resistance performance and so on,and with no negative effects in color shade and color fastness.It has great significance for military polyester textile to combine several functional finishing used for modern battlefield.Firstly,this paper chose six water repellents,Water repellent LZ,fluoride-free water repellent,anti-finishing agent,fluorine-based water and oil repellent processing agent TF-5361,Water repellent M-632 and Water repellent finish BTP3102,and studied its effect on the flame retardant performance.Then it is used together with the durable flame retardant FR-93 in turn on polyester fabric.The results show that the water repellent finish agent BTP3102 has less influence on the fabric flame retardant performance,while giving the fabric a very good waterproof performance.Secondly,a series of multi-functional finishing were studied in new camouflage printing fabric,such as powerful lifting,flame retardant,water repellent and other multi-functional finishing.Single-factor experiments were carried out on curing temperature and baking time during finishing.After finishing,the effects on the properties of printed fabrics were studied,such as weight,shade,color fastness,water repellency,flame retardancy,strength(breaking strength,tear strength).In a word,this paper aims to develop a suitable finishing technique for a newly high-strength printed polyester fabric,study every performance after functional finishing.In order to give fabric good water pressure resistance and cold resistance performance under the premise of improving the flame retardant performance,the amount of flame retardant powder in the coating agent was studied.Finally,the new high-strength polyester printing fabrics were finished and coated with experimentally determined finishing processes and all the properties were studied,such as the weight,color light,color fastness,water repellency,flame retardancy,and strength(breaking strength,tearing strength)of the fabrics,water pressure resistance effect,cold resistance,and other properties.The results shows that the suitable multi-functional finishing technique for 500 D new high-strength polyester air-changing printed Oxford cloth was got:5 g/L reinforcing auxiliary,150 g/L flame retardant FR-93,3 g/L water repellent BTP3102,two times dipping and two times rolling,pre-baking at 105 ?C for 3 min,then curing at 150 ?C for 3 min.After this finishing,three coatings were added to fabrics to give fabrics good flame retardant and water repellent performance.Printed fabrics were calendared at 140 ?C,then flame retardant powder,mixture of decabromodiphenyl ether and antimony trioxide in a ratio of 2:1,were coated on primer layer(50% w/w),middle layer(35% w/w)and surface layer(20% w/w)separately.Every layer coating must experience pre-baking at 105 ?C for 3 min,then curing at 150 ?C for 3 min and calendared at 140 ?C.After finishing,all the finishing auxiliaries have less negative influence on color shade,light fastness above on 5 degree,rubbing fastness above 4 degree,breaking strength up to 2800 N,about flame retardant properties,longitudinal and latitudinal continued burning time and smoldering time were less than 2 s,damage length less than 150 mm,water repellent performance up to 4-5 grade,water resistance pressing performance up to 125.6 kPa and cold resistance with no damage to the warp and weft direction at-30 ?C.In this thesis,the synergy between flame-retardant performance and water-repellent performance,the synergy between flame-retardant performance and water-pressure resistance performance,and the synergy between functional finishing and fabric strength were solved during finishing,and finally after finishing the performance of the new high-strength polyester camouflage printing fabrics were meet the technical requirements for military equipment.
