Converter gas is an important secondary energy source in the steel industry.The converter gas come from the furnace contains a large amount of dust.To achieve the recovery and utilization of converter gas,it is necessary to add an WESP in the cabinet to fine dust.The characteristics of the flow field and the development of temperature and pressure during the explosion and venting process of converter gas have been obtained.The influencing factors of explosion and venting process have been explored,which can provide reference for the design of WESP.Based on the classical fluid mechanics simulation software FLUENT,the explosive process of converter gas in WESP was simulated,and the characteristics of the flow field were analyzed to explore the explosion mechanism of converter gas.Analysis the pressure and temperature's characteristics of different initial pressure,equivalence ratio,initial temperature to determine the impact of various factors on the gas explosion process.According to the explosion model,with the different venting valves'numbers,openings and diameters to simulate,the suitable venting scheme was selected from the simulation of pressure development by considering the actual working conditions and the cost.Explosion results show that:the initial temperature has the greatest impact on the explosion and inversely proportional to the maximum pressure of the explosion.When the equivalence ratio is 1.2,the pressure develops the highest and the maximum pressure reaches 786 kPa.The relationship between the maximum pressure and the initial pressure increases linearly.The maximum pressure develops at a rate of 6500 kPa/s and the maximum temperature develops at a rate of 2?10~5K/s.The increases of vent valves'opening,diameter and number will increase the efficiency of venting.Considering the actual project cost and other issues,it takes two vent valves of D=600 mm,L=100 mm.The results provide a reference for the explosion and venting of the converter gas.
