The mobile garbage compression station,a device that can be used for efficiently compressing and transferring the incompact garbage,has the characteristics of large compression ratio,high processing efficiency,low energy consumption and wide applications,etc.In order to save manufacturing costs,optimize product structure and improve product performance,our team has worked with a company to design and develop an excellent mobile garbage compression station.This paper mainly undertakes the structural analysis and optimization of the station.At first,this paper establishes mathematical models of the mobile garbage compression station under three working cases,including the process of lifting garbage by lifting mechanism(lifting case),the process of compressing garbage by compression head(compression case),the process of hoisting the body of the station by hook-lift truck(hoisting case),and gets the hing-force of lifting mechanism,the maximum pressure from compression head and the force of rings and rear-wheel,the result provides the load boundary conditions for the structural analysis of the model.Secondly,we make a reasonable simplification of the whole model,establish the finite element model of the mobile garbage compression station based on APDL(ANSYS Parametric Design Language)and complete the assembly of the machine according to the connection between parts.And then,the correct displacement boundary conditions and the load boundary conditions are applied to the finite element model according to the actual working cases of the device.And we extract the stress curve of key structural position during the whole moving process from the finite element analysis of three motion processes of the mobile garbage compression station,from which we can certify the dangerous cases and strenghen part whose structure isn’t meet the intensity requirements.After that,stress test experiment of the device in the dangerous case is done,and the experimental results verify the correctness of the finite element analysis.At last,in order to minimize the weight of the device,we use the parametric finiteelement model established to optimize plate thicknesses of the key components,under the condition of satisfying strength.The optimization result shows that 11.1% weight reduction has been achieved for the device.The research of this paper provides a theoretical basis for the design and development of the mobile garbage compression station,and it has a guiding significance for the serial research and development of subsequent products.
