Environmental responsibility information disclosure is a form of performance of listed companies in fulfilling environmental responsibilities.It is not only the main way for the government and the public to get the environmental behavior of enterprises,but also the limiting for the development of enterprises.As our country attaches importance to environmental issues,oil companies,as representatives of heavily polluting industries,have also been concerned by all circles of society.The research on environmental responsibility information disclosure of listed oil companies in China can encourage them to further enhance their environmental responsibility information disclosure level in order to promote the sustainable development of the petroleum industry.This paper takes China’s listed oil companies as the research object,clarifies the research background,purposes and significance,summarizes the research status at home and abroad and expounds the relevant theories.Combining literature analysis and positive analysis,this paper select energy use,pollution reduction and carbon reduction,water resources utilization and treatment,environmental management and green ecological five indicators to build an index system for environmental liability information disclosure of listed oil companies according to the current domestic and international standards and characteristics of petroleum enterprises,and analyze the problems and possible causes of them and conducts empirical analysis on the factors that may affect the disclosure of environmental liability information of listed oil companies.According to the data of the 2013-2017 Social Responsibility Report and the Enterprise Annual Report of listed oil companies,the disclosure level of environmental liability information of listed oil companies is taken as the explained variable,the scale of the enterprise,the economic benefits of the enterprise,the number of shares held by the state-owned shareholders,and the separation of the two rights of the enterprise.the proportion of independent directors,the number of reports issued by enterprises,the degree of corporate attention,the pressure of policy systems,and the audit fees reported by enterprises are taken as explanatory variables,and use STATA software to do the descriptive statistical analysis,correlation analysis and regression analysis of variables.The result shows that the scale of the enterprise,the economic benefits of the enterprise,the separation of the two powers of the enterprise,the types of reports issued by the enterprises and the pressure of the policy system are significantly related to the disclosure level of environmental responsibility information of listed oil companies;but the number of shares held by state-owned shareholders,the degree of concern of enterprises,and the audit fees reported by enterprises have no significant effect.At the same time,suggestions are made from the inside and outside of the company to improve the disclosure level of environmental liability information of listed oil companies. |
