Because of the drainage asphalt pavement has large porosity,low noise and large friction coefficient,it gives the road a certain drainage and noise reduction function,which satisfies people’s requirements for road safety and comfort,and has become an important direction of road development.The high-viscosity modified asphalt has become a key binder for the preparation of drainage asphalt roads due to its excellent high temperature index and adhesion properties.In this paper,SBS(styrene-butadiene-styrene),additives and stabilizers were used as raw materials to produce high-viscosity modified asphalt by the swelling,high-speed shearing and development process and the effects of the added components on the properties of the samples were investigated.The properties of aromatic oils and waste oils were analysed.the physical,aging properties and rheological properties of SBS modified asphalts with aromatic oils and waste oils were compared.The results showed that the addition of waste oil can significantly improve the low temperature performance of the SBS modified asphalt,and it can replace the aromatic oil as a compatibilizer for SBS modified asphalt.In order to improve the adverse effects caused by the addition of compatibilizer,four different types of C9 petroleum resins were used as modifier.The physical properties of SBS modified asphalt with different of softening point,C/H and molecular weight of the C9 petroleum resins were investigated.The mixing mechanism model of C9 petroleum resin,SBS and asphalt were proposed by analyzing the influence of the content of C9 petroleum resins on the physical and rheological properties of SBS modified asphalt,and using the observation of microstructure and infrared analysis.The results showed that the better of high-temperature properties and adhesion of the SBS modified asphalt were prepared by the C9 petroleum resins with the higher softening point and a narrower molecular weight distribution.C9 petroleum resins have good solubility in asphalt.C9 petroleum resins can dissolve into asphalt,and then expands into the PS segment in SBS with the dispersion and adsorption expansion of SBS.The strength of the structure of SBS in the sample is improved,so that it can accelerate the swelling process of SBS in the asphalt and improve the strength of the SBS modified asphalt.The storage stability,physical properties and microstructure of high-viscosity modified asphalt were studied with different content of sulfur powder and reaction time.The results showed that under the conditions of melt blending,high-viscosity modified asphalt was prepared with the content of SBS is 8%,waste oil and C9 petroleum resin are both 4%,sulfur is 0.2%and the reaction time is 30min.Under these conditions,the high-viscosity modified asphalt had a softening point of 91.0℃ viscosity of 28.6N·m,toughness of 18.4N·m,rotational viscosity of 2.7Pa-s at 135 ℃,and a segregation softening point of 2.1 ℃.It is able to meet the quality performance requirements of high-viscosity modified asphalt.
