Carbonate heavy oil reservoirs in Block 10 of Tahe Oilfield where the lateral inlet heavy oil pump with large displacement was applied.However,due to the special effects of heavy oil in Tahe oilfield,the clearance of some pumps has reached level 8,and the loss of plunger leakage has increased accordingly.For this reason,this paper mainly carried out the following work:(1)The data of production of 7 large displacement pump leakage Wells in Block 10 of Tahe Oilfield were collected.The relevant parameter range of the intake pressure,discharge pressure and temperature of lateral inlet heavy oil pump with large displacement were calculated based on the computation methods of the physical parameters,which were then used to determine the range of the experimental parameters.(2)The experiment of static differential pressure of lateral inlet heavy oil pump with large displacement was conducted.A single factor sensitivity analysis was employed on the pressure difference of plunger,clearance level and pump diameter,etc.Based on the special structure of lateral inlet heavy oil pump with large displacement,the model of differential pressure leakage was established,and the calculating result of the model was verified by using the mean of experimental data,and the error was 13%.(3)The paper carried out the experiment of shear experiment of lateral inlet heavy oil pump with large displacement.A single factor sensitivity analysis was carried out on stroke,frequency of stroke,etc.The shear leakage model was established based on the different diameter of the upper and lower plunger of lateral inlet heavy oil pump with large displacement,and the error was 9.9%.(4)Based on structure characteristics of 57/38 lateral inlet heavy oil pump with large displacement,the three-dimensional simulation model of the clearance between the plunger and pump cylinder of 57/38 large displacement pump was established,by using the Gambit software,and the Fluent software was applied to simulate the change rule of the velocity field,pressure field and streamline field.The friction leakage model was established,which was combined with numerical simulation of friction and fluid mechanics knowledge,and the model error is 9.1%.(5)The paper,based on the lateral inlet heavy oil pump with large displacement pressure differential leakage model and plunger friction leakage model,deduced the formulas for top and bottom clearance by power method,and then established the clearance criteria of lateral inlet heavy oil pump with large displacement.The research results of this paper is of great importance for the clearance selection of lateral inlet heavy oil pump with large displacement in Block 10 of Tahe Oilfield,and it can be used as reference for the similar pumping well clearance selection as well.
