Research On Synthesize And Modification Of Tung Oil Based Unsaturated Polyester Resin

Tung oil was used for coating field because it is the best pure natural vegetable oil and the coating have best quality of water resistance,solvent resistance,heat resistance and mechanical properties,etc.It was used for modification of unsaturated polyester resin and the rest of polyester resin.Studying Tung oil based unsaturated polyester resin was synthesized by chemical reaction of Tung oil acid monoglyceride,and it was modified by oil nano Alumina trioxide and Silicon dioxide.The properties of various unsaturated polyester resin coating were carried out by using the Chinese national standard testing method of coating.The main results obtained from the comparative analysis are as follows.The tensile strength and fracture elongation of unsaturated polyester resin coating and Tung oil base unsaturated polyester resin coating were analyzed synthetically,and the suitable content of Tung oil acid monoglyceride was 6%.The water absorption rate of Tung oil based unsaturated polyester resin coating was 32%,decreased by 41%,the toluene rate was 19%,decreased by 39%,the tensile strength was 1.3Mpa,increased by 225%,the fracture elongation reached 17%,increased by 143%,the hardness was increased from B to 3H,and the adhesion performance was increased from level 6 to level 3.,The impact strength is qualified,and the heat resistance is enhanced.The indexes of Aluminum trioxide Tung oil based unsaturated polyester resin coating and Tung oil base unsaturated polyester resin coating were analyzed,and the suitable content of Aluminum trioxide was 6%.The water absorption rate of Aluminum trioxide tung oil base unsaturated polyester resin coating was 21%,decreased by 34%,the toluene rate was 8%,decreased by 58%,the tensile strength was 3.3Mpa,increased by 154%,the fracture elongation reached 29%,increased by 71%,and the hardness increased from 3H to 5H level,Adhesion performance increased from level 3 to level 2;impact strength qualified;heat resistance increased during low weightlessness,decreased heat resistance during high weightlessness.The indexes of Silica dioxide Tung oil base unsaturated polyester resin coating and Tung oil base unsaturated polyester resin coating were analyzed,and the suitable Silica content was 8%.The water absorption rate of Silica dioxide Tung oil based unsaturated polyester resin coating was 14%,decreased by 56%,the toluene rate was 8%,decreased by 58%,the tensile strength was 4.6Mpa,increased by 254%,the elongation at break reached 36%,increased by 112%,and the hardness increased from 3H to 5H level,Adhesion performance increased from level 3 to level 2,impact strength is qualified,heat resistance is enhanced.Comparing and analyzing the modification results of Aluminum trioxide and Silica dioxide on the Tung oil base unsaturated polyester resin,the modification effect of silica dioxide is better,which provides a theoretical basis for the industrial production of Tung oil base unsaturated polyester resin.
