In today's society,environmental pollution is becoming more and more serious,which has seriously affected people's life.At the same time,people's living environment has gradually been threatened.Therefore,it is extremely urgent to protect the environment.Sustainability is an effective strategy to protect the environment and reduce pollution.We can use biomaterials more widely and develop self-healing materials as effective measures for sustainable development.The recycling and utilization of waste biomass materials is the recycling and treatment of materials that have no use value,increase the materials values.The self-healing materials increase the service life by optimizing the properties of the materials.At present,improvement of biomass material production technology and development of new self-healing materials could be two effective strategies for sustainable development.Wood flour is a very practical and environmentally friendly material in wood-plastic composites(WPC),because the residues and plant fibers produced by various types of wood can generally be used in the production of wood-plastic composites,and it has little influence on processing.During processing,the moisture content of the wood flour is generally controlled within 3% by drying of the wood powder,otherwise the processing will be greatly affected.But the hydrogen bond in the wood flour is likely to occur secondary moisture absorption during the placing process.Moisture absorption phenomenon,which requires us to modify the wood flour,enhance the performance and service life of wood plastic materials,and realize the recycling of wood powder in wood-plastic composite materials.We mainly grafted three different isocyanates on the surface of wood flour by isophorone diisocyanate(IPDI),toluene diisocyanate(TDI),4,4-diphenylmethane diisocyanate(MDI),and isocyanate in specific condition can react with the surface hydroxyl groups of wood flour,increase the mechanical strength and hydrophobicity of wood-plastic composite materials,improve the service life of wood-plastic materials,thus achieving sustainable development.On the other hand,the elastomer prepared by the hydroxyl group polybutadiene(HTPB)and boric acid(BA)is a self-healing material and it has own self-healing function.However,the self-healing material has low intensity and has a single function.This article increases the strength of self-healing materials by adding wood flour extract(microcrystalline cellulose).From this paper we can see that different levels of microcrystalline cellulose(CMC)have different degrees of influence on the mechanical strength of self-healing materials.From 0 wt% to 20 wt%,the mechanical strength gradually increases with the increase of microcrystalline cellulose content.At the same time,when the microcrystalline cellulose increases to 20 wt%,the healing efficiency of the material reaches 91.3%.Compared with the healing efficiency(99%)of material without microcrystalline cellulose,the healing efficiency changes little,but the mechanical strength is more than 10 times.At the same time,we dope the conductive medium,increase the functionality of the material,and expand the use of self-healing materials.Therefore,we believe that based on this research topic,sustainable materials will develop better and better in the future,and improve people's living standards and living environment.
