Manufacturing industry reflects the level of productivity of a country and is an important factor to distinguish developing countries from developed countries.China is in a critical period of expanding domestic demand and upgrading industrial transformation.However,there is still a big gap between the technical level and performance of CNC machine tools in China and developed countries.Most of highend CNC machining centers rely on imports.At the same time,as the strategic equipment of national defense and military industry,some developed countries regard high-performance CNC machining centers as strategic materials to be strictly controlled,which restricts China's imports.It is an urgent requirement for the whole industry to study the key technologies of five-axis machining centers,to form the capability of localization,serialization and batch production of high-performance five-axis machining centers,and to develop domestic five-axis machine tools with good quality to meet the needs of the whole manufacturing industry.Dual-axis NC direct-drive turntable has become a necessary functional component of high-speed and multi-axis NC machine tools.In recent years,many domestic enterprises are devoting themselves to the research and development of direct-drive turntable,but due to design technology,torque motor technology and other reasons,there are few commercialized products on the market.Based on the research of domestic and foreign manufacturer's products,this paper studies the overall structure design,precision assurance technology and embracing braking technology of the turntable for the turntable with diameter of 500 mm,and completes the whole product design.The embracing braking structure is analyzed and studied,and the reasonable structure parameters of thin-walled brake sleeve are obtained.Another locking mechanism is designed for A-axis locking.Meanwhile,the finite element analysis of the overall structure and key components of the turntable is completed by using ANSYS Workbench software.The stiffness of the bearing,the strength of the bearing support,the strength of the C-axis box,the natural frequency of the turntable and the braking moment of the turntable are verified.The test results show that the performance and accuracy of the direct drive turntable have reached a high level of similar products abroad.
