| Along with the development of industry and the improvement of living standards,a large amount of heavy metal contaminated waste water has been inevitably produced,which is very harmful to human health and ecological environment.Pomelo peel is one kind of natural macro molecular biological material,which abounds in nature and has wide source.It contains plentiful active functional groups,which can effectively complex with the heavy metals in water.It is a cheap,environmentally friendly and high efficient material for the removal of heavy metals.The development and research of pomelo peel based materials are of great significance to the treatment of heavy metal contaminated waste water.In this study,the adsorption performance of nickel on pomelo peel was investigated.The results indicated that the adsorption of nickel on pomelo peel was rapid.At low pH values,the adsorption of nickel on pomelo peel was strongly dependent on pH and ionic strength;at high pH values,the adsorption was independent of ionic strength.Langmuir model simulated the adsorption isotherms data well,and the qmaxax was 80 mg/g at 298 K.The pomelo peel cellulose was prepared derived from pomelo peel,and the adsorption performance of nickel on pomelo peel cellulose was investigated.The results indicated that the adsorption of nickel on pomelo peel cellulose was fitted very well by the pseudo-second-order model.At low pH values,the adsorption of nickel on pomelo peel cellulose was strongly dependent on pH and ionic strength;at high pH values,the adsorption was independent of ionic strength.Langmuir model simulated the adsorption isotherms data well,and the qmaxax was 120 mg/g at 298 K.The carboxylated cellulose was prepared through the modification of pomelo peel cellulose,and the adsorption performance of nickel on carboxylated cellulose was investigated.The results indicated that the adsorption of nickel on carboxylated cellulose was rapid,and was fitted very well by the pseudo-second-order model.At low pH values,the adsorption of nickel on carboxylated cellulose was strongly dependent on pH and ionic strength;at high pH values,the adsorption was independent of ionic strength.Langmuir model simulated the adsorption isotherms data well,and the qmaxax was 136 mg/g at 298 K.In short,pomelo peel,one kind of natural macro molecular biological material,can effectively and cheaply remove the heavy metals from aqueous solution.It will have strong application prospects in the treatment of waste water. |
