Research On The Application Of Minimalism In Furniture Design

The word “minimalism” is increasingly appearing in our lives.Minimalism has become one of the mainstream trends in today’s design,which is closely related to the rapid economic development,increased social competition and huge living pressure.Based on the minimalism,this situation is widely popular in various fields.Therefore,the topic will be combined with the actual situation of the minimalism,and the typical minimalist style works will be selected for analysis and research.In the research process,the author finds research on the minimalism.There are not a few documents,but the minimalism with the development of the times,its connotation and concept are constantly improving and refining,rarely combining minimalism in the new era background from the field of furniture design to the study of minimalism,analysis of simplicity the aesthetic characteristics of style in furniture design and its underlying causes of popularity.The paper adopts literature research method,inductive method and comparative analysis method.Firstly,it discusses the theory of minimalism and analyzes the concept of minimalism furniture.The master of furniture design and its works focus on four aspects: shape,color,material and craft.The design features of the minimalist style furniture are discussed.Through the analysis of the characteristic design case,the design and performance characteristics of the minimalism furniture are finally summarized.In addition,combined with some market research,we will examine the minimalism furniture and its design features in the new era from various aspects,and try to practice the minimalism application and performance characteristics of the research in the author’s design creation,and at the same time in the design and application.Intuitively feel and discover the artistic charm of minimalism furniture,and provide the designer and consumers with the theoretical support of the application of minimalism in furniture design.
