In the actual operation of welding,problems such as the dimensional error of the workpiece,thermal deformation in the welding of the workpiece and the low clamping accuracy of the workpiece are often encountered.These factors often lead to the situation that the welding torch deviates from the weld bead,and affect the quality of welding further.In the automated welding process,the arc position is often used to correct the torch position.Therefore,research on welding tracking methods based on arc recognition is of great significance in the field of modern welding manufacturing.The welding arc tracking control system designed in this paper is mainly applied to the automatic welding control of V-groove welds in MIG/MAG welding process.The system adopts PLC as the host controller of the host computer,and realizes the human-computer interaction function through the industrial touch screen.The hardware structure of DSP+FPGA is used to realize the arc recognition and tracking control function.DSP is responsible for data acquisition and processing,information interaction,tracking,decision making and judgment;FPGA is responsible for controlling the motor and monitoring the position information of the welding gun in real time.In the arc identification tracking part,the arc module data of the welding torch is directly collected by the AD module,and the data is processed by the Butterworth filter to identify the characteristics of the welding arc,and then compared with the position of the welding seam to get the position deviation of the weld horizontally and vertically.Then the motor is controlled to adjust the position of the torch in real time to further realized the function of welding tracking.The experimental results show that the hardware structure of DSP+FPGA can realize the function of high-speed AD sampling and real-time filtering analysis and processing of a large amount of data.Butterworth filtering algorithm can effectively eliminate the interference of arc data acquisition and obtain obvious arc waveform.The actual welding verification results on site show that in the MIG/MAG welding application,the system can effectively track the horizontal and vertical weld position deviation of the workpiece,and the tracking accuracy can reach within 2mm;the welding forming effect is better to meet the expected design requirements.The system can greatly improve welding production efficiency and process quality.
