The Extraction Process Of Plant Antibacterial Agent And Its Application In Body Wash

Traditional preservatives have the risk of sensitization and carcinogenesis.The national laws and regulations are updated one after another to prohibit or reduce the dosage of traditional preservatives in cosmetics.There are few available alternative preservatives in the market,so the development of new plant-source preservatives can fill in the current market gaps.In this paper,the extraction technology of natural plant preservatives was studied.The effective antimicrobial components were extracted from pizza grass,sandalwood leaves and eucalyptus leaves.Water vapor extraction and solvent extraction were used to extract the flavonoids from Origanum majorana,Santalumalbum linn leaf,Eucalyptus leaf and Camellia seed,respectively.The essential oil of Origanum majorana,Santalumalbum linn leaf flavone,Santalumalbum linn seed oil,Eucalyptus leaf oil,Camellia oil,tea saponin,etc.The extraction rates were 0.8%,1.6%,0.5%,13%,1.2%,0.9% and 18%respectively.The anticorrosive effect of the extracts was tested by American Pharmacopoeia method.The results showed that sandalwood leaf flavonoids could reach the total number of colony less than 10 CFU for 28 days.At the same time,through cleanliness,water content of cuticle,skin water loss and patch test were evaluated.The results showed that the change rates of tone after cleaning with the two bath creams were-63% and-41% respectively,is better than blank group.Cuticle water content,soap-based bath lotion(-4.2%)was similar to the blank group(-2.0%),amino acid bath gel(3.1%)was slightly better than the blank group(-2.0%).The amount of skin water loss,soap-based bath lotion(-1.8%)and amino acid bath lotion(-4.8%)were better than those of the blank group(0%),and the results of the two bath lotions were 0 cases of allergies.Plant antimicrobial agents as preservatives in body lotions have excellent properties of cleanliness,moisture retention and safety.
