Error compensation technology is an effective and economical means to improve the machining accuracy of machine tools.In this paper,the related technology of real-time compensation for comprehensive error of machine tools is studied in Siemens CNC system,and a real-time compensation system for comprehensive error is designed based on ARM.The effectiveness of the system is proved by the comprehensive error compensation experiment.This paper firstly introduces the principle of real-time error compensation.For the SIEMENS numerical control system,the acquisition method of error parameters is studied.Based on the external coordinate zero offset function and temperature compensation function provided by SIEMENS numerical control system,two implementation methods of real-time error compensation are proposed and their feasibility is verified.Secondly,through the study of the common modeling methods of geometric error,thermal error and static spatial error,the parameters reflecting the comprehensive error are determined,and the comprehensive error model of machine tools is established based on BP neural network.Then,based on the proposed real-time error compensation method and ARM platform,a comprehensive error real-time compensation system is designed and developed,which can monitor the processing parameters reflecting the comprehensive error,and calculate the compensation value of the current station through the selected error model and send it to the machine tool PLC to realize the realtime error compensation.In software design,the multi-thread parallel processing improves the realtime compensation;an embedded SQLite database is built to store machine parameters and compensation values in the process of machining to provide data for further improvement of machining accuracy;an embedded user interface based on Qt Creator is developed to visually monitor machine tool processing status and set parameters for error compensation.Finally,a comprehensive error compensation experiment is carried out for QLM27100 five-axis gantry CNC milling machine,which improves the machining accuracy of the machine and verifies the effectiveness of the compensation system.
