With the advancement of shale oil and gas,coal-bed methane and offshore oil and gas development,bringing new challenge to extended reach well and horizontal well drilling technology,which are longer horizontal displacement and larger containment area,those make the issues of how to improve the limit extension ability of horizontal well and extended reach well to be hotter and hotter.How to reduce the friction of drilling to improve the limit extension ability is one of the problem demanding prompt solution,and the vibration friction reduction technology provided an effective method to solve the problem.Moreover,how to make the mechanism clear,confirm the vibration parameter of lateral vibration reduction tool(LVT),and optimize the installation positon is becoming more and more important to be solved.This paper put focus on the mechanism of LVT base on the particle dynamic equation of later vibration,the result shows that the deflection of contact surface has relation with the friction reduction,the larger of the deflection,the smaller of the friction.The model of the lateral vibration under the elastic foundation was established,then based on the reciprocal theorem the reflection of plate was solved,the survey shows that the deflection variation is the main reason of LVT friction reduction,and the experimental was verified the validity of the model.To study on the installation position of LVT,the lateral vibration transverse distance was analysis with ANSYS.The relationship of excitation amplitude,vibration frequency,the size of the drilling string and the deviation angle and transverse distance was obtain.The LVT influence distance increase with the increase of excitation amplitude,and decrease with the increase of vibration frequency,size of drilling string and deviation angle.The dimensionless amplitude was defined as the boundary conditions to confirm the influence scope of LVT,the degree of important which have impact on the influence distance is: excitation amplitude> deviation angle>vibration frequency> size of the drilling string.The evaluation model of friction reduction effect was analyzed,and the transmission efficiency of axial force was determined to be the main parameter to evaluate the friction reduction effect of LVT,and the ANSYS was used to solve the model.Three different installed plans was design to analyze the friction reduction effect of different installed positon,then the method of application of LVT was present,the result shows that the friction reduction effect would be best when the LVT install on the middle of the horizontal segment,and the friction reduction effect was calculate based on the filed data of Ji Lin Oil Filed.
