If oil pipeline in oil depot leak and no effective measures are taken in short time,leakage pool range will expand.Oil vapor cloud explode easily when encountering fire,which will cause huge staff and property damage.Research on initial leakage process of surface oil pipe in oil depot is the premise and foundation of making effective fire rescue measures and controlling accident development.Because of the uncertainty of oil spread behavior after leakage,a three-dimensional CFD simulation model about the leakage in oil depot was developed,and simulation was conducted by Fluent.The initial leakage process of surface oil pipe was simulated by changing parameters of oil properties,pipeline operating pressure,leakage hole diameter and leakage hole shape.By analyzing dispersion area and dispersion velocity in initial leakage process,an initial dispersion area model was established,which could predict the dispersion area.Calculate the evaporation capacity by substituting the dispersion area into Stiver & Mackay evaporation formula.Establish surface oil pipeline leakage explosion effect evaluation model by combining TNT TNO method.Compile software to calculate explosion hazard radius of vapor cloud,which is beneficial for setting out relevant protective measures.The study results show that the spread of oil on the ground is largely influenced by parameters such as pipeline operating pressure and leakage hole diameter during the initial leakage process of surface oil pipeline.Under the same dispersion time,the dispersion length increases as the pipeline operating pressure increases,and the dispersion width increases as the leakage hole diameter increases.The dispersion area increases linearly with the increase of the operating pressure,and it has a cubic function to the leakage hole diameter,which firstly decreases and then increases.When the expansion reaches stable stage,the oil spread velocity increases exponentially with the leakage flow.Combined with the surface oil pipeline leakage explosion effect evaluation model,measures are suggested for containing leakage and avoiding damage in oil depot.
