Currently,most of buty-Octanol was refined through normal distillation method in domestic butyl-Octanol plant,which could only purify the raw butyraldehyde in the aldehyde fractionating tower,guaranteeing the quality of N-butanol from the bottom of tower.The mixtures from the top of tower was hydrogenation to produce n-butanol and iso-butanol;Because this method does not separate the iso-butyraldehyde in the top product which is in high value,it causes a great waste of resources.The 250 kt/a OXO plant in Nanjing Chengzhi green energy Co.Ltd has the main products of 100 kt/a N-butanol,125 kt/a N-octanol and 25 kt/a iso-butanol.They did not separate the iso-butyl aldehyde,and cannot fulfill the target of deep development of the downstream.The economic benefit is not ful y embodied.In order to effectively separate iso-butyraldehyde from butyl-aldehyde,this thesis analysed the components of the mixture butyl aldehyde from the top of Aldehyde fractionating tower in the view of the current production status of 250 kt/a OXO plant in Nanjing Chengzhi green energy Co.Ltd.N-butyl aldehyde and iso-butyl aldehyde was successfully separated through our small pilot experiment.The influence factor including reflux ratio,number of tower plates,feed composition on the efficiency of distillation was experimental studied.The optimized parameters of small pilot distillation was obtained through the experiment.On the basis of the results of the small pilot experiment,industrial-scale simulation calculations were carried out.The process parameters calculation,investment cost budget,the calculation of operating cost and payback period were performed through simulated design of butyraldehyde-based isomer tower,which provides a technical support for the comprehensive utilization of iso-butyraldehyde process.
