Aluminum powder is an important metallic pigment.Its silver-white color,glitter characteristics and anti-corrosion effect are recognized and loved by users.Aluminum powder is prepared into aluminum powder coating,which is mainly used in the automotive industry and metal anticorrosion.In recent years,due to the government’s promotion of environmental protection policies,the public’s awareness of environmental protection and the continuous development of science and technology,the development of water-based coatings in China has ushered in the best opportunity.And because aluminum powder can react with water,this leads to a series of drawbacks of waterborne aluminum powder coating.Therefore,the aluminum powder is appropriately modified to "wear" the aluminum powder to prevent the reaction between the water and the aluminum powder,thereby eliminating the problem of the aqueous aluminum powder.In this paper,aluminum powder was treated with A-171 silane coupling agent from Compton,USA.Through the participation of siloxane in A-171,a polycondensation layer was formed on the surface of aluminum powder to enhance the acid resistance of aluminum powder.Alkaline and its special metallic luster.In this paper,the aluminum powder is desolvated and then treated with different amounts of diluted A-171 solution.The amount of hydrogen generated by the reaction of the modified aluminum powder sample and water was detected by experiments.It was found that the amount of hydrogen generated by the reaction of the aluminum powder and water when the amount of aluminum powder and A-171 was 10:3 was the least,which means that the generation was generated.In terms of the amount of hydrogen,the effect of aluminum powder and A-171 is 10:3.On the basis of the above treatment,methyl methacrylate is selected and further polymerization is carried out by solution polymerization to enhance the compatibility of the aluminum powder and the water-based acrylic resin,thereby further improving the aluminum powder in the water-based paint.The modified aluminum powder was characterized by SEM scanning electron microscopy and TEM transmission electron microscopy.The suitable water-based acrylic resin is selected,and the formulation of the water-based aluminum powder coating is determined by screening the cosolvent,the dispersing agent,the aligning agent,the defoaming agent,etc.,and the water-based aluminum powder coating with good appearance and high performance is prepared.
