| With the development of leather industry in China,the strengthening of national environmental protection policies and the increasing demand for high-quality natural fibers,how to recycle used leather has become the focus of public attention.At present,cowhide collagen fibers have been used in many fields by domestic and foreign scholars,such as feed in the food field,wound dressings in the medical field,and sound insulation effects in the textile field.However,due to the lack of professional equipment,the currently prepared cowhide collagen fiber can not meet the requirements of taking textile raw materials,so the cowhide collagen fiber has not been applied in the clothing field.Therefore,it is of great significance to explore the usability of cowhide collagen fibers for product development in the field of taking collagen fibers.This paper designed a production line of cowhide collagen fiber extracted from high-quality cow leather corner scrap,and the operation is simple and convenient.The production rate of cowhide collagen fiber can be as high as 60%-90%.The process is as follows:Opening of leather solid waste → Extraction of cowhide collagen fiber → Cleaning and finishing of cowhide collagen fiberNext,the macroscopic morphology,microstructure,moisture absorption capacity,thermal properties,physical and mechanical properties,antibacterial and anti-caries functions of the extracted cowhide collagen fiber fibers were tested.The conclusion is drawn that the main component of the collagen fiber is collagen type I,which is close to the main component of human skin and therefore has natural skin-friendly properties.The cowhide collagen fiber is a soft,fluffy,natural lustrous flocculent fiber;the longitudinal direction of the fiber is a ribbon shape,and a cowhide collagen fiber is composed of a plurality of fibrils arranged in parallel;the cross section of the fiber is a regular shape,which is approximately circular or elliptical.The cowhide collagen fibers have good spinnability,and have an average length of 29.17 mm and an average diameter of 4.02.Then,the microstructure of the cowhide collagen fibers was analyzed.The crystallinity of the cowhide collagen fibers was 28.54%,and the degree of orientation was68.50%.Due to its low crystallinity,it has excellent moisture absorption capacity,and the moisture regain rate can reach 22.10% under standard conditions.Due to its high degree of orientation and the unique molecular structure of multi-microfiber multi-filament bundle,it has extremely high pull.The tensile strength at break was 8.38 c N/dtex and the average elongation at break was 21.35%.In addition,the absorption peaks of the infrared spectrum characteristic of thecollagen fibers are located at 3419,1650,1539,respectively,and the corresponding groups are amide A,amide I(1700-1600)and amide II(1600-1480),respectively.Typical protein fiber.The leather collagen fiber contains natural antibacterial factor,and the inhibition rate against Staphylococcus aureus,Escherichia coli and Candida albicans is 99.95%,99.99% and 99.17%,respectively;the mildew resistance reaches 1 grade;the aphid repellent rate is 50.93%.Moreover,the components of the cowhide collagen fibers are identified by the testing mechanism to contain no elements of arsenic,lead,cadmium or chromium(hexavalent).According to GB/T 18885-2009 "Ecological Textile Technical Requirements",the evaluation of cowhide collagen fiber is an eco-textile,and it is a natural environmentally-friendly antibacterial fiber.Then,the subject developed the antibacterial and anti-mite properties of the cowhide collagen fiber,and developed it into a leather collagen fiber antibacterial sock.According to the experimental results,the mass fraction of the cowhide collagen fibers in the leather collagen fiber antibacterial socks determines the antibacterial ability of the socks.The higher the content of the cowhide collagen fibers in the socks,the better the antibacterial ability.Among them,the sock woven with a yarn with a mass fraction of 40% cowhide collagen fiber and acrylic fiber blended into 35 pieces has excellent antibacterial,mildewproof and smashing functions,and is resistant to Staphylococcus aureus,Escherichia coli and Candida albicans.The inhibition rates were 99.2%,94.5% and 99.1%,the mildew resistance reached grade 1,and the aphid repellent rate was 50.93%.Moreover,the antibacterial rate of the cowhide collagen fiber against the main beebug pathogen,Trichophyton rubrum,is as high as 90.8%.Different from the existing antibacterial and odor-resistant socks on the market,its antibacterial function has good durability.After 30 times of repeated washing,the antibacterial property does not decrease significantly,and it is bacteriostatic against Staphylococcus aureus,Escherichia coli and Candida albicans.The rates were 98.2%,94.7%,and 98.5%,respectively. |
