Research On Inline Pipeline Cathodic Protection Inspection Technology

In recent years,with the rapid development of modern infrastructure construction,our country has basically built the oil and gas pipeline network that runs through the whole country and even across the overseas,creating huge economic benefits.However,electrochemical corrosion of pipelines seriously threatens the safe and stable operation of pipelines.Cathodic protection system and external anticorrosion coating are effective means to inhibit electrochemical corrosion.With the increase of operation time,cathodic protection system and anticorrosive coating are prone to malfunction and aging failure.At present,cathodic protection detection methods commonly used in pipeline inspection industry have many inconveniences and shortcomings.This paper presents an internal detection scheme for cathodic protection of pipelines based on current measurement.(1)Combined with cathodic protection standards and related theories,theoretical calculation and analysis of cathodic protection parameters under various working conditions are carried out.The detection principle of cathodic protection is verified by simulation and experimental methods.(2)Combined with the actual working conditions of the pipeline and the relevant design theory of the internal detector,the design and development of the mechanical structure and electronic module of the cathodic protection detection section have been completed.(3)The simulated test and data acquisition of cathodic protection under various conditions are completed on the experimental pipeline by using the developed mechanical structure and electronic module.It is proved that the cathodic protection internal detection method based on current measurement can be implemented on the internal detector,providing a guarantee for the smooth operation of China's oil and gas pipelines.
