Based on accelerated tests, the deterioration of the physical and mechanical properties of ordinary concrete, polypropylene fiber reinforced concrete, fly ash concrete, and hybrid polypropylene fiber reinforced concrete in water, organic acid, inorganic acid, and industrial waste water environments.Through the analyses of the experimental results, the durability of concrete with various admixtures in different environments is evaluated. The experimental results show that, among the four environments, organic acid is the most corrosive to concrete. The corrosion depth increases with the increase of corrosion time and the relationship between them is basically linear. The water absorption in saturated surface-dried condition of concrete first increases with increasing corrosion time, and then tends to be stable after the peak value. The water absorption in saturated surface-dried condition of concrete with fibers is better than that without fibers. The compressive strength of hybrid polypropylene fiber reinforced concrete is higher than those of ordinary concrete, polypropylene fiber reinforced concrete, and fly ash concrete.A certain amount of polypropylene fibers can improve the splitting tensile strength of concrete.Hybrid polypropylene fibers are more efficient in increasing the splitting tensile strength of concrete than polypropylene fibes. It is also found from the experimental data that, addition of polypropylene fibers reduces the elastic modulus of concrete to a certain extent.Compared with polypropylene fiber reinforced concrete, the elastic modulus of hybrid polypropylene fiber reinforced concrete decreases more. The chloride diffusion coefficient of concrete is correlated with the compressive strength. For ordinary concrete and polypropylene fiber reinforced concrete, the relationship between the chloride diffusion coefficient and the compressive strength is hyperbolic in water, while they are of the power function form in organic acid.
