In this paper,borosilicate was selected as the glass matrix,Ce3+and Tb3+ions were used as luminescent ions,and a large amount of Gd2O3 was added to improve the luminescent intensity of Ce3+and Tb3+ions,also increase the density of glass.In addition,Al2O3,P2O5,BaO are introduced to improve the performance of glass,and the glass system of ABS-BGP?Al2O3-B2O3-SiO2-BaO-Gd2O3-P2O5?is formed.Four groups of ABS-BGP glass samples with different concentrations were prepared by high temperature melting method.Firstly,the concentration of Tb3+was kept constant by changing the introduction amount of Gd2O3.It was found that when the Gd3+ion concentration was 20 mol%,the best luminous intensity was obtained in the glass samples doped with Tb3+ions;Then,in the Tb3+doped glass sample,only the amount of Tb2O3introduced was changed.It was found that under the excitation of ultraviolet light,pulsed electron beam and X-ray,when the concentration of Tb3+ion was 10 mol%,the luminescent intensity was the best.Moreover,the integrated scintillation efficiency of BGO crystal under X-ray excitation is 63.9%.Then,only the amount of Ce2O3 introduced was changed in the sample of Ce3+doped glass.When the concentration of Ce2O3 was 0.3 mol%,the intensity of Ce3+ion luminescence was the highest,and the decay time of the sample reached the nanosecond level.Finally,the luminescence of Ce3+/Tb3+co-doped glass samples was studied using nanosecond time-resolved pulsed electron beam.It was found that the energy transfer efficiency of the series samples was around 25%,which was independent of the concentration of Ce3+ions.Under the excitation of pulsed electron beam,the decay time of Tb3+at 542 nm is 2.2 ms,and that of Ce3+at 386 nm is 35 ns,540ns.X-ray luminescence spectra and cathodo luminescence spectra showed that the sample had good scintillation performance,which provided the key material preparation basis and theoretical basis for promoting the substantive application of gadolinium borosilicate scintillating glass.
