Permeability is an important parameter to study oil and gas migration in reservoirs, but at present, laboratory tests cannot accurately measure the permeability of tight reservoirs.Considering problems of the current methods and principles of permeability measurement of dense cores, this paper conducts gas measuring permeability experiments at high pressure with the device. The main research contents include: First, make artificial sandstone model, the influencing factors of artificial density of dense cores and the factors affecting the size of core pore throats were experimentally studied to find out the parameters that meet the experimental requirements, and the permeability measurement was conducted. The device has been improved, and the micro flowmeter and the differential pressure meter have been checked.Secondly, the gas permeability test has been carried out on the artificial tight cores using the improved permeability measuring device, and the three sets of experimental at different temperatures have been measured. The flowrate data of artificially tight core samples under different pressures were measured.Thirdly, based on the experimental results of investigations,a set of experimental models for the characterization of the experimental laws was established. The experimental results showed that the traditional Klinkenberg slippage theory does not apply to the seepage law of tight cores. The measured permeability values under high pressure conditions are smaller than the Klinkenberg slippage theoretical values, and the relationship curve between pressure, temperature, pore throat size, and apparent permeability is characterized.According to the measured permeability, the results and experimental laws, build a empirical model based on this experimental device and permeability, the empirical model of the measurement method and the reliability of the model are verified by error analysis. The gas measuring permeability of tight cores in this paper has improved the method of measuring the apparent permeability of dense cores under simulated indoor conditions, and build the empirical model based on this experimental device and method, the results have certain reference significance for the study on the micro-scale flow, oil and gas field development.
