| Although there are many theories about induced polarization of rocks, the understanding of the mechanism is not enough, lacking a reliable theoretical basis. The complex resistivity logging method can qualitatively evaluate the oil layer of the reservoir by measuring the resistivity of the low frequency real part and the resistivity of the high frequency module. Therefore, combining induced polarization and complex resistivity can not only measure the conductivity of the formation, the low frequency dielectric constant and the dispersion characteristics of rock complex resistivity solve the problem of different measurement methods in time domain and frequency domain.More measurement methods and options are provided for in-depth research of physical parameters such as formation porosity and permeability. In this paper, from the perspective of rock physics experiment,18 samples of artificial sandstone were saturated with 4 different kinds of salinity. The induced polarization experiment and the complex resistivity experiment of rock were researched respectively and the effects of pressure, salinity and pore structure index on the experimental results in time domain and frequency domain are analyzed. At last, the relationship between induced polarization and complex resistivity is established from the perspective of rock physics experiment. The research shows indeed there is a collection between induced polarization and complex resistivity. This not only provides more choice of measurement methods for researching the porosity and permeability characteristics of the formation, but also extends the application of the complex resistivity spectrum logging method. |
