The rapid development of manufacturing industry has promoted the progress of social civilization,but also brought serious burden to the environment,resources and people’s life.The production of mechanical products consume a large amount of energy and resources,and are accompanied by a large amount of greenhouse gas emissions,causing global warming,glacier melting,sea level rise and other issues.These issues virtually affect people’s lives.The international community has gradually recognized the importance of green manufacturing.low-carbon manufacturing.China is a big country in the global machinery manufacturing industry,with the largest number of machine tools in the world.As the "working mother machine" in the equipment manufacturing industry,machine tools are the core of the basic manufacturing capacity.The low carbon optimization design of machine tools is a hot topic and development trend at present.However the carbon calculation of life cycle assessment is only as environmental attribute evaluation tool,has certain limitation in comprehensive decision support.The carbon emissions evaluation results are insufficient to calculate as a comprehensive decision-making basis.Carbon efficiency evaluation is a comprehensive decision method,which is synthesized carbon emissions,function and cost.The method has a more comprehensive and accurate evaluation results for the machine tool product comprehensive decision-making to provide theoretical support and optimizing the design of low carbon.In this paper,the life cycle carbon emission calculation,cost assessment and function quantification of machine tool product were studied,and the carbon efficiency assessment of machine tool product was completed.The main work is as follows:First,aim at the machine tool product production complex environment,much the data source and the type,it is difficult to directly apply to the problem of calculation of machine tool product lifecycle carbon emissions.Putting forward a multi-level data distribution calculation method and setting up a multi-level oriented life cycle model to listing can be directly used in inventory data of carbon calculation.Based on the product life cycle assessment method,the carbon emission assessment model of machine tool product life cycle is established,and the carbon emission calculation of machine tool product life cycle is completed by using the inventory data.Then,because of the economic benefits and environmental benefits cannot be split between direct or indirect contact,the products carbon emissions improvement produce cost fluctuation,and due to the product structure,material,processing technology are closely related to the product function,performance,quality,optimizing product structure,material.Processing technology of carbon emissions improvement would also affect the product function,so the carbon efficiency assessment also need to complete the cost assessment and function quantification.The product life cycle cost assessment model in different stages of machine tool are established.completed the cost assessment of the five life cycle stages of raw material acquisition,manufacturing,packaging and transportation,use and maintenance,and recycle and dispose.Combining the axiomatic design function-structure mapping method and matter-element theory,the function quantization model of machine tool products is constructed,the function mapping model from function to structure and the matter-element matrix of product structure and efficiency are established,and the function quantization of machine tool products is completed.Finally,based on the concept of ecological benefit,combine the machine tool product life cycle carbon emissions,cost and function,the ratio of the value in the life cycle to the carbon emission,namely the carbon efficiency,is taken as the comprehensive evaluation index of the life cycle of machine tools.Using the principle of value engineering to build the relationship between the three quantitative indicators associated with the value of the model,then carbon efficiency of the product life cycle assessment model is set up,implement the comprehensive evaluation of machine tool products of carbon emissions,cost,and function.By taking hobbing machine as an example and combining with research data,carbon emission calculation,cost assessment and function quantification of hobbing machine’s product life cycle are carried out to complete the carbon efficiency assessment of hobbing machine’s life cycle,so as to verify the feasibility of the method proposed in the paper.
