The non-ionic surfactants are mainly composed of polyethylene glycol based surfactants.PEG-based surfactants have applications in organic synthesis,drug delivery,drug controlled release and phase transfer catalysis,etc.There are many kinds of PEGs with wide source.PEGs are not dissociated in water,hardly affected by acid,alkali and strong electrolyte,have good stability and compatibility.With the introduction of PEG chain into the molecule,its properties are also introduced into the molecule.However,the hydroxy reactivity in PEG is low,which needs to be converted into PEG derivatives with higher reactive groups.At present,the method of carboxylation of PEG is relatively less.Therefore,the new process of synthesizing PEG-COOH is explored by using single-end hydroxyl methoxypolyethylene glycol(mPEG)as raw material,and mPEG-SA-DGEBA,a new non-ionic surfactant,is synthesized on this basis.The active agent mPEG-SA-DGEBA and its properties were studied.Main tasks and results are as follows:1.Firstly,with the acid anhydride carboxylation method,selecting different molar masses of mPEG reacting with succinic anhydride(SA)without using catalyst,which is only by raising the temperature and determining the reaction time by thin layer chromatography.Utilizing the solubility difference between substances to obtain mPEG-SA.On the basis of this,mPEG-SA was reacted with bisphenol A diglycidyl ether(DGEBA)to synthesize non-ionic surfactant mPEG-SA-DGEBA.The infrared and NMR spectra of each step was characterized.The results showed that mPEGIK-SA and mPEG2K-SA were synthesized when the reactants molar ratio n(mPEG:SA)=1:4,dioxane was used as solvent and reacted at 100℃ for 6 h.Since mPEG5K has a low reactivity,mPEG5K-SA is obtained by additionally adding 0.01%DMAP catalyst to the system.When the molar ratio of reactants n(mPEG-SA:DGEBA)=1:2,0.05%DMAP was added,and the reaction was carried out at 100 0 C for 11 h with dioxane as solvent,mPEG-SA-DGEBA was obtained.2.Studied the performances of mPEG-SA-DGEBA.For example,surface tension test indicated that mPEG-SA-DGEBA can significantly reduce the surface tension of water,The CMC of its aqueous solution was obtained by fluorescence spectroscopy,and the affinity of mPEG-SA-DGEBA with polar/non-polar substances were studied. |
