| The frequent oil spills/leakages occurring caused serious damage not only to the environment,but also human survival.Traditional oil/water separation patterns suffered from following disadvantage the low efficiency,high cost,and poor circulation.To address these issues,this study used diatomite porous ceramics which were prepared by foam-gelcasting technique as starting materials to prepare ISOBAM-104 modified hydrophobic-olipophilic diatomite ceramics by heat treatment method.And as-prepared porous ceramic was applied to the oil-water separation and collection.The effects of modifier content,heat treatment temperature and atmosphere on the hydrophobic properties of the ISOBAM-104 modified porous ceramics were investigated.In addition,based on the hydrophobic property of heated ISOBAM-104,the effects of ISOBAM-104content and heat treatment temperature on the hydration resistance of the ISOBAM-104modified MgO powders were investigated.This study has a certain significance for alleviating water pollution and hydration of MgO powder.The results indicated that:1)Diatomite porous ceramics were prepared using diatomite powder as the main raw materials,ISOBAM-104 as the dispersing and gelling agent via foam-gelcasting technique.After firing at 1473 K,the as-prepared diatomite porous ceramics possessed high porosity of 79.5%and the compressive strength of 1.62 MPa.2)The modified porous ceramics with hydrophobic-olipophilic properties could be prepared via heat treatment method under the condition of sintering temperature of 573 K,the atmosphere of H2/Ar(5 vol%/H2)and 150 mmol/L ISOBAM-104 as a modified agent.And the water contact angle of modified porous ceramics was about 146°.In the case of high temperature(473 K),low temperature(77 K),acid condition(p H=1),and sea water,the as-prepared porous ceramics showed a stable hydrophobic nature,high separation efficiency and recyclability.A self-pump system using modified porous ceramic as adsorbent was built as a continuous oil-water separation device,and it showed excellent oil-water separation performance.After 10 cycles of separation,the selectivity was still higher than 90%.3)The co-modified porous ceramics with hydrophobic-superlipophilic properties were prepared via heat treatment method under the condition of sintering temperature of573 K,the atmosphere of H2/Ar(5 vol%/H2),150 mmol/L ISOBAM-104 and 3 wt%SiO2nanoparticles as modified agaents.And the water contact angle for the co-modified porous ceramics was about 150°.In the case of high temperature(473 K),low temperature(77 K),and acid(p H=1)condition,the as-prepared porous ceramics showed a stable hydrophobic nature.The modified porous ceramics showed excellent continuously oil-water separation performance via a self-pump system.After 10 cycles of separation,the selectivity was still higher than 93%.4)By using ISOBAM-104 as a modified agaent,ISOBAM-104 modified MgO powders were synthesized via heat treatment method.The optimal conditions for the preparation of the modified MgO powders were 523 K/1 h and using 3 wt%of ISOBAM-104.And the modified MgO powders showed an improved hydration resistance than the raw MgO counterpart. |
