Study On Tourism Ecological Efficiency Of Gansu Province Based On Carbon Footprint

Tourism development can not only meet people’s spiritual needs,but also bring considerable economic benefits,which has become the focus of regional development.However,while tourism brings economic benefits,its negative environmental impact is increasingly prominent.Therefore,how to get better economic benefits of tourism while protecting the environment,that is,how to improve the ecological efficiency of tourism,is an important issue for the development of tourism industry.Gansu is the national ecological barrier,but its environment is relatively fragile,so it is necessary to explore the efficiency of its tourism ecological environment.Based on this,this paper studies the tourism ecological efficiency of Gansu Province Based on the tourism carbon footprint.Firstly,it describes the current situation and characteristics of tourism development in Gansu Province,and recognizes the necessity of its ecological efficiency research.Secondly,based on the carbon footprint model,it calculates the ecological efficiency of tourism transportation,accommodation and tourism activities in Gansu Province from 2013 to2017,evaluates and analyzes the calculation results,and discusses the impact Finally,according to the analysis conclusion,the paper puts forward countermeasures and suggestions to improve the tourism ecological efficiency of Gansu Province.The conclusions are as follows:(1)From 2013 to 2017,the total amount of tourism carbon footprintin Gansu Province is increasing,and the rising trend is obvious,but the tourism ecological efficiency has improved in the past five years,indicating that the coordination between tourism development and environment in Gansu Province has improved.(2)The carbon footprints of tourism transportation,tourism accommodation and tourism activities are significantly different.Over the past five years,the proportion of carbon footprint of tourism transportation has been up to 92%,which has the greatest impact on the environment;the proportion of carbon footprint of tourism accommodation and its total tourism carbon footprint has gradually decreased,and the negative impact on the environment has gradually weakened.The proportion of carbon footprints in tourism activities is basically stable at 2%-4%,and the carbon footprints are increasing year by year,with an average annual growth rate of 26.2%,which is higher than the growth rate of total carbon footprints.(3)The ecological efficiency of tourism accommodation and tourism activities is 9.6 and 6.8 times higher than that of Gansu Province.However,the ecological efficiency of tourism transportation is far lower than the overall level,only 50% of the comprehensive ecological efficiency;the main factors affecting the ecological efficiency of tourism in Gansu Province are the choice of the means of transportation,the grade of hotels,the types of tourism activities and the structure of tourismconsumption.(4)Advocating low-carbon travel,building green hotels,creating ecological scenic spots and optimizing tourism consumption structure can effectively improve the tourism ecological efficiency of Gansu Province.
