Vanadium-titanium magnetite is an important iron ore resource in our country,and it is a more complex composition of symbiotic,associated ore.Vanadium-titanium magnetite contains iron,vanadium,titanium and other elements and has a high comprehensive utilization value.The vanadium titano-magnetite has poor sintering characteristics and the quality of sinter is poor.Mainly manifested in:the falling strength,drum strength and yield of vanadium-titanium sinter is low and the low temperature reduction powdered is serious.Many disadvantages make the application of vanadium-titanium magnetite in sintering has been more limited.In order to improve the quality of vanadium-titanium sinter,further optimize the structure of sintering ingredients.In this paper,the efficient use of vanadium-titanium magnetite in the sintering process is studied in terms of the production temperature,the room-temperature characteristics of raw materials,the physical and chemical properties at high temperature and the optimization of ore dressing by vanadium-titanium magnetite.In terms of the properties at room temperature,the chemical composition,particle size distribution,macroscopic topography,specific surface area and water absorption of the iron ore powder were examined and analyzed.The results show that the vanadium-titanium magnetite belongs to the high-iron and low-silicon type iron powder.The particle size is fine,the texture is hard and smooth,and the specific surface area is low,so it is not easy to granulate.The vanadium-titanium powder used in the experiment absorbs more water and water absorption is more "sensitive".In the guidance of the sintering mixture needs our attention,may be appropriate to increase the distribution of water,so that the sintered layer to achieve the best breathability.In the basic properties of sintering,the basic characteristics of the sintering such as the assimilation temperature,the fluidity of the liquid phase,the strength of the binder phase and the continuous crystal strength of the iron ore powder in the raw material were examined.Performance ranking of the basic characteristics of vanadium-titanium magnetite:Yuan tong 14,Yuan tong 11,Yuan tong 8,Bai quan,Qiang long,Chuang yuan 62,Yuan tong 12,Sea sand.According to the principle of matching with the basic characteristics of ore with the principle of beneficiation,respectively,select high,medium and low Ti,three types of vanadium-titanium magnetite were added with good properties of ordinary iron ore and ordinary iron ore powder+high silicon iron ore,mixed.The results showed that the ingredients of vanadium-titanium ore+ordinary high-quality iron ore powder and vanadium-titanium ore+ordinary iron ore powder+high-silicon iron ore powder can significantly improve the sintering basic properties of the raw material vanadium-titanium magnetite,and achieve the purpose of sintering raw material optimization.The orthogonal experiment with 6 factors and 5 levels was used to optimize the ore blending experiment of 7 vanadium-titanium magnetite by sintering pot test.The optimal rate of finished products with ore program:8%Chuang yuan 62,92%Yuan tong 14;optimum drum strength with mine programs:12%Qiang long,2%Bai quan,6%Yuan tong 8,80%Yuan tong 14;optimum low temperature reduction powder index(RDI+3.15)with ore program:40%Yuan tong 11,32%Chuang yuan 62,12%Yuan tong 12,2%Bai quan,4%Yuan tong 8,10%Yuan tong 14.Experimental results,yield is 89.45%,ingredients program:100%Yuan tong 14;the highest drum strength T is 65.62%,ingredients program:30%Yuan tong 11,16%Chuang yuan 62,12%Qiang long,2%Bai quan,8%Yuan tong 8,32%Yuan tong 14;the highest RDI+3.is is 83.47%,ingredients program:30%Yuan tong 11,32%Chuang yuan 62,12%Yuan tong 12,6%Bai quan,2%Yuan tong 8,18%Yuan tong 14.Comprehensive weighted scoring method obtained the optimal ratio:2%Bai quan,10%Yuan tong 11,88%Yuan tong 14.The order of influence on comprehensive indexes of sinter is as follows:Qiang long,Bai quan,Yuan tong 11,Yuan tong 12,Chuang yuan 62,Yuan tong 8.The experimental results obtained ingredients program:100%Yuan tong 14 or 40%Yuan tong 11?24%Yuan tong 12?12%Qiang long?4%Bai quan?2%Yuan tong 8?18%Yuan tong 14.This program meets the ordering law of sintering characteristics of Vanadium Titanium Magnetite.To sum up,this article carried out a comprehensive and systematic evaluation of the properties of iron ore powder at room temperature and high temperature,and carried out research on optimization of ore blending with vanadium-titanium magnetite ore sintering,laying an effective foundation for the efficient use of vanadium-titanium magnetite in the sintering production process basis and provides technical parameters for industrial production.
